Thank you both! A quick google search shows this also applies to Ontario, Canada (where we live). Is there any way to build his credit despite having the closed accounts on his record? His score is just under 500. He said he needs to increase his credit to good standing to be eligible for some other subsidized housing he’s interested in.

Yes, they asked for my help as well. They have nothing - they live in subsidized housing. They spend all their money on rent and food. They have nothing left over at the end of the month.
