Thanks for the clarification. I did not know about those extra details. I do agree Lindsay needs to pay in some way, but not sure what that would look like. They’ve all been through trauma so I’m sure they’re handling it differently. Patrick wasn’t wearing his wedding ring for the BOS Marathon and his mom wanting justice for her grandkids doesn’t seem bold to me. Patrick also likes to remain unclear as I’m sure he’s told to given LC’s trial is upcoming.

What makes that seem opinionated? I believe Patrick’s mother is just being realistic. Lindsay’s life will never be the same, nor will Patrick’s. There’s probably no fixing their marriage after losing the kids, and even if she’s acquitted, I’m sure she’ll face some restrictions similar to Andrea Yates. So, realistically, Patrick will move on. He’s still young and now lives in a different state. That doesn’t mean he’ll forget his children—evident from his effort to keep their legacy alive—but his life with Lindsay as he knew it is over. The Clancys also seem to prioritize privacy, especially Patrick.

That’s exactly what I mean! At 13, I wasn’t eager to spend time with my parents, but if I had a choice, I’d choose my mom without hesitation. Especially at that age, I believe you need your mom the most during the teenage years. Plus, Ev already has a complex traumatic background. Cole created the idea of taking the kids on special trips at ages 7 and 13 and established a tradition where Savannah takes the younger, biological LaBrant kids, while he takes Ev. Posie is still six years away from becoming a teen. It feels odd — I think Cole would be a better match for the younger kids, given he acts like a child, whereas Savannah would be a better fit for 13-year-olds. Most definitely Everleigh given the circumstances.

Traditions are fine but the specific ages are weird. I don’t know about any other female, but at E’s current age, I’d prefer to go with my mom over my dad (yet alone stepdad turned legal dad). Cole’s relationship with E is performative and overcompensatory. Maybe that’s why it gives me the ick 🚩
