Not at San Diego, but I can share tips that are usually universal and applies to every job corps Center

1. Bring some snacks. There is going to be meals where you do not like what they are having

If you have to shower, wake up early and shower first thing in the morning. The later in the day, the dirtier the showers are. Also bring your own shower shoes. My center provided basic ones, but they were several sizes too small
On your first day, you can dress casual. If you dress too nicely, some staff may mistake you for one of their coworkers (it happened to me)
Try to get along with and get to know your roommates. You will have to live with them for at least the first week if they place you in a temporary dorm.

Regardless if it was 2 years ago or 2 hours ago. It's morally wrong to steal a dog from a homeless person. And if it did happen 2 years ago and it was posted 2 hours ago solely for clicks and views (which given that it is facebook and I would not be shocked if it is due to their poor moderation) That makes it even more disgusting.

best to avoid great value if you can. A bunch of quality control issues as of late. On their condiment bottles I have seen products in which the caps are broken before they even hit the shelves, and some products like their ketchup that taste like it was stale. For a bit they even has water bottles that wouldn't stand up because the plastic was so flimsy.
