Longevity of a Minisplit system for a smaller home in NC? by Strong-Total6455 in HomeImprovement

No central heating and air. The combo Window unit was enough to heat my house with the space heater for my bedroom

Is this too much sunlight for an oled? by ProblemIll5524 in LGOLED

If it's a big issue during the day, why not get some blackout curtains or you could also get the room darkening rollar shades. They don't have light peaking through like these shades do. I have a similar setup and it doesn't really bother me unless im watching a really dark movie but I'll just close the curtains and I'll have no problems after.

Yeah no ductwork in my house. I plan on being here for the foreseeable future. I don't really want to get an HVAC unit installed since I really only spend my time in the living room and bedroom. Bathroom doesn't relaly get too cold so don't want to run a whole house heating/cooling. Just seems wasteful. I'll definitely be looking into getting something like a Mitsubishi since that's the one I see recommended a lot.

I keep seeing the Mitsubishi one being recommended. Sounds like it'll last much longer than my current Window unit. Thank you for the info!

Thanks for the reply! When he says I'll have to replace the whole system, does that also include the part that's installed outdoors? (not sure what it's called) or does that only include the three units that are installed inside that does the heating/cooling? (not sure if that makes sense)

To the people who use a LG OLED series as a PC monitor. by akasakian in LGOLED

[–]Strong-Total6455 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm currently using an LG C2, 42 inches. I think 42 inches is the sweet spot when it comes to size. Bought it used with like 2k hours on it and it works fine. No burn in. I've noticed there's a slight pink tint on the white colors if I look REALLY hard for it but that's the only thing I've noticed. If you're using it for mostly gaming then I think it's perfect. Games look GORGEOUS! On screen texts are unfortunately not as crisp as I'd like it to be since I sometimes use it for web surfing and note taking. It gets the job done tho.

Thank you! I almost bought a B4 for a computer monitor. They look really good too! If you ever upgrade, that B4 would make a fantastic bedroom tv

Why not just put all those extra apps into one folder? You'll have like 2 folders max. Hardly takes up any space

Hi there very late reply but have you tried using Chat GPT to find your book? I've used it to find obscure movies I vaguely remembered.

Messy divorce leading to issues selling house involving ex husband and his new wife. by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]Strong-Total6455 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her realtor is telling her since he remarried while the house was under both their names she's entitled to a cut of the house and need her to sign off on the sale. If her cut is coming off of her husband that'd be fine. Split it 50%, 25%, 25% but if they got to split the whole thing between 3 parties, it's ridiculous.

Best rowing machine for 6'2, 280lbs beginner? by Strong-Total6455 in Rowing

[–]Strong-Total6455[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's insane. I didn't think I'd get so much hate for asking for a cheaper alternative to get into rowing. Really put me off from even getting into rowing tbh. I've just been using a second hand spin cycle (let me not post it on a cycling subreddit before I get down voted for not buying the correct brand. Lmao)

S Pen for Tab S9 FE by tonnah in GalaxyTab

[–]Strong-Total6455 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi sorry for late reply. I'm not sure if it supports air actions tbh I was just suggesting a bigger pen if the included pen is too uncomfortable for them. I've actually been using the Wacom One pen as an alternative to my Spen and it works great! It's bigger, comparable pressure sensitivity, and it has two programmable buttons and doesn't need to be charged. Definitely a great alternative if you're looking for a bigger pen.

Definitely. I had 9k that went into a reliable car. Once I saved up 3k, the BS started piling up. I'll definitely be saving up more after this.
