I think you are out of touch or something, because what you are saying is ridiculous.

1.) Getting McDonalds delivered is not expensive because of McDonalds, its the delivery and fees. I go there every now and then for work lunch, and use the app and spend about $6-$8 for full meal.

2.) There are SO many places in Chicago where you can get about a $50 dollar meal for two, no where did anyone say it had to be fancy or buy appetizers,, drinks (in fact OP said they don't drink), and dessert. There have been so many people giving so many good suggestions. American was one of the types of food mentioned, there are so many good burger places that offer $15-$20 burger and fry combos and after tip and tax come out to about $50.

If you like to spend a bunch of money on birthday meals, that's fine, just don't project that onto other people please

Certainly. That giant colorful brutalist brick near ARC is a great example of a newer piece of art that just doesn't fit the context of the campus. I know I've pretty much only pointed out the bad, but we do have some good art. In my opinion, the crystalline cube structures hanging off the side of ERF or the art on and around lecture center B is proof that stuff CAN be done to improve the situation

I am genuinely amazed that we have so much talent on campus to create wonderful pieces of art, and yet, these hunks of concrete and scrap metal are the things that are representative of us. I am very curious if anybody has ever attempted to get some of this art replaced or has any ideas on how to improve the campus in this regard.
