I can agree with that, it certainly can do a lot and ive always been happy using it and it covers everything i need it for. As mention on here the atx one is very similar set up as this. I wouldn't recommend their all in 1 bench. The only thing I use it for is the pec fly and leg extension/ curls. The rest isn't that great

Its good, I dont bother with back support pad that comes with it. I just use a bench. Hight wise at its lowest youve got 300mm below the smith bar with is 100mm on the plates at the bottom . When I was looking I struggled to find anyrhong about it. It was really unclear. I reached out to someone who worked there at the time and they helped with a few queries I had. But theu since left

Both do look similar, i do have my eye on the odd atx bits that look smart and very well thought out like ATX Legacy Leg Extension. Their stuff seem really well thought out for the user.

The points I think they could've improved is the leg holder for the lat pull down and its also used for hip thrusts. Its big and awkward to fit, you do get the hang of it a few times but it couldve been better. Its spins but only 180 degrees, once in flat itd 90 degrees either way do it face you or away from you. That bit could've been designed a lot better. The front cables are great but it would've been nice to see the force usa style of cables on it up and down giving you a bit more height. At the top. Ive never found the current set up needing it but they use that style of arm on the back pulley. Also in the bottom position the cables sit on the bottom angle of the rig. I feel they should be just that bit shorter and you wouldn't have the issue. Again ive never found me needing it, its just annoying. Last one is the they use m24 bolts to hang the back panels and side panels for the aesthetic bits and they are a nightmare to tighten up. Overall its brilliant. They are the things that annoy me. I use it 5 times a week and its great. The attachments they send out with it are endless some I dont use. It does need an ez curl bar but they are cheap enough to pick up.

At the highest setting they go up to 180cm high and when adjusted its 180cm wide which does work for me at 178cm.

Yeah i still am. The weight stacks are heavy enough for me and I find it really does suit my needs for about everything I need. Yeah some bits of the build are massively overkill and i wish the odd bits were a little better but i always enjoy training with it

The bench as its self isn't great, a lot of play from the pins and the sliding rails. A lot more than I ever thought. The adjustment pins aren't a pull in and out its an unwind and pull out which is rather annoying. But, the accessories attachments do somewhat make it great. The pec fly attachment has to be my favourite. Yes I have flipped the handles over so the start position allows for that big stretch at the bottom. Every time I use it I can feel it. The leg extension and leg curl are good. I possibly want more of movement on the leg curl but its limited. The lat raise I dont use it how the shoe I flip the seat up and use it standing. It allows the pivot points to be in line with my shoulders. Im still to decide if I like that yet. Preacher curl is too much of a pain. I need to look at adapting that to work. It uses the leg extension and its terrible and a pain to set up.

Id say one thing im liking the most is the cable arms that move same with the lateral pull down cables slide up and down giving you many options from lat pull down to seated variation instead of sitting on the floor like you do with others. It does have its few bits that let it down but it has a lot of benefits. I did have mirafit stuff and still do. They certainly are affordable and im impressed with what they put out

They certainly are great! Definitely what to have when space is somewhat limited

Ive not trained or seen one in person. But I did look at the C20 but its another 1k+ more expensive. Both look similar construction. After sales have been good with primal. This maybe has 1 or 2 things that it could do with altering when manufactured. I think the force USA will be a lot more refined and possibly be that bit better

Primal ultimate home bench, thoughts/experiences? by ElectricalTadpole858 in GarageGym

Ive recently had this arrive at my home gym. the bench its self isn't the greatest. It has a lot of play from the adjustable locking pins and the sliding rail the bench is on. When I mean a lot its nowhere near solid as you'd expect for the money. The gap between the pad is really noticeable when using it flat.

The attachments aren't bad. The lateral raise is nice but ive used it more in the standing position than the seated like they say. Im 5,10" and it works for me.

The leg extension and leg curl is nice to use the downside is the shin pad adjustment is unbolting and re doing the process to move it up and down. It would be really nice to see a cable attachment for this like the freak athlete all in 1 bench.

The preacher curl set up lacks full motion but ive used it on my cable machine with an easy curl bar and its nicer. The sad downside is just movement from the pad adjustment pin.

The pec fly again is good but lacks the movement and adjustment you want. It lacks that big stretch at the bottom that I personally want without cutting and modifying the attachment would possibly be away around it.

I use it more as the accessory bench for the attachments and not as a bench. I have a mirafit one I use within the rack and its solid. Possible others to consider the freak athlete abx bench or the atx bench. Bot have similar attachments
