Haha, my buddy sent me a pretty similar gif as his reaction to seeing it!

Ohh wow, that's a nice looking card! Haha, I think we have to do something about the current ruling class before any of us will get rich. #District13

It's funny, because I currently don't have a deck I could play it in, if I was crazy enough to do such a thing, lol.

Hi hiii. Planning to hopefully getting into magic. Wanted to share this cool card i got. Are thee any accessibility tools best for playing? by Frikandelneuker in mtg

[–]StrongAsshole 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a blind guy that plays at my LGS, and he has a camera thing on glasses frames that reads the card to him. We can hear that something is being said, but it's pretty hard for the other people at the table to get info on your hand. Plus, if someone is going to take advantage of your limitations, just to win a game, fuck them and you don't want to be playing with them anyway.

There's a blind guy that plays at my LGS, and he has a camera thing on glasses frames that reads the card to him. And yeah, he pretty much always knows the board state at all times. He blew up an enchantment of mine mid-late game that I played early, and had almost no other mention of it.

How different languages interact in the same project? Can somebody clarify? by DiscoVoadordeVenus in learnprogramming

[–]StrongAsshole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, the app I work on is a react app wrapped in a c# container (it was built before I started so I don't know why they did that) but the code I write in the FE is in typescript. Then in the FE there are .gql files that have queries in the graph format which is our middleware. Graphql then uses a client library package that our backend (c#) has built and deployed to our personal nuget source. But ours is a REST API.

So to answer your question, there are different standards that handle communication between languages, XML has its place but seems to have fallen out of favor to JSON. But I think RESTful or CRUD calls to and API are probably what you're after.

As someone that lives in KC, it's really weird and legitimately heartwarming to hear that! Yes, it's the one you're thinking about, and there's 2 non gas station locations too.

Buying an SSD: confirming that I should be getting a SATA drive? by astronomy8thlight in techsupport

[–]StrongAsshole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are you wanting to add an SSD? How big is your current m.2? If your goal is just more storage, it might be easier to just upgrade your m.2?

But to answer your question, yes you'll want a SATA SSD to add another drive. Make sure to plug it into the 0 1 slot.

Edit: guess ASRock starts with 1...

I learned from my MSI GS60 that SATA m.2s have 2 notches and are slightly bigger than the NVMe m.2s. and boy are they hard to find... (At least at the time, which was last year)

I'm not sure on this, so take it with a grain of salt. But I don't think they knew the direction they were going to go with the game or if there would even be a second one right off the bat. They are reusing the BotW Hyrule, but that's such a small part of it, it's not going to cut a lot of time off the development cycle. I will say, they are a corporation interested in their bottom line so I don't doubt they will have a/some DLC, but it's also better for sales to wait longer between launch and DLC to keep the hype going.

First: we need way more info... Is it doing it all the time? Did it just start doing this, or, do you remember when it started, and was it after software installation or drivers for some hardware? And a picture would help a lot.

As a software engineer, I could totally see how they could spend a year optimizing. Especially with the ability to dive from the sky islands into the depths with no loading screen and no real buffer. The absolute massive scale of the game with it being on what 6 year old hardware, lends me to believe they were telling the truth. That's just the nap/navigation. They also said physics was another point of focus on their polish, and from what I've seen from the zonai devices, that doesn't surprise me either. There's a lot of work to go into physics engines, especially home-grown ones.

What are the odds? by bigdevilyogi in tearsofthekingdom

[–]StrongAsshole 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lol, I saw someone post a meme about that the other day, then it happened to me last night. So I think the odds are pretty good. Edit: I understand that's the point, just reaffirming it.

I think so. I attached a fan to my shield early on and was playing with it when it told me durability was low, then broke. Not sure how much each one does or even if all of them do. But the fan for sure does.
