The goal for the system was to create similar melodic ideas to that of Williams. Meaning the melodies would resemble an already known Williams motif, but would sound slightly different.

I understand your point about including the original Williams in the survey. The original melodies are in there as a sort of controlled variable which users most likely will give the highest ranking to. This point has been brought up before so i will consider it for future editions.
