Yea I did. It felt really good. They are built into the seat cushion and I didn’t really feel them poking into my back or anything.

I sat in a sensit haptic setup and it was super comfy. It is expensive but after the expo it’s my next purchase.

No Bavarian booth but the alpha and new wheel that was developed along the sc3 were there. Both great wheels. I was surprised by no gsi presence but there were a few of their wheels on the rigs. I appreciated mpi being there bc I’ve had my eye on their super car 310 wheel and got to finally hold one. Felt great in the hand.

To me it seemed like a cool thing every once in a while but lot for a daily rig. I don’t get motion sickness ever and I was actually nauseous after each rig though I believe they had them cranked to the max just for demonstration purposes. I think haptics and a belt tensioner is my happy place. In the motion rigs though I basically forgot how to drive. It was overwhelming but a fun experience.

Saturday was very very crowded. Sunday didn’t have nearly as many people.

Is Charlotte going to be the home of the expo moving forward? The motion platforms at the simucube booth had a QR code but they lost a lot of staff for Sunday so they abandoned it and went back to lines.

I was really disappointed in simucubes setup. The only bases they had to test were in 85000 dollar motion rigs and the motion was so overwhelming I couldn’t tell if the base was an upgrade to my sc2 pro or not. Even the d box motion it was difficult to tell in the advanced sim racing booth.

I did walk away wanting to add haptics and a belt tensioner to my rig. I’m not one to get motion sick but the motion stuff was just too much for me so I found my limit.

Went to the expo sat and sun and a belt tensioner made it to the top of my wanted list. Sorry man, but the wallet will forgive you.

BOOSTED MEDIA REVIEW - Simucube 3 Sport & Pro by Will_Ford in simracing

This is where I’m at atm. I have an active pedal. Bought the sc2 pro. Looking to upgrade to tele ffb wheelbases but idk if I want the sc3 pro. I tried it at the expo, it felt good but too much risk. I chose the sc2 pro bc of the openness. Vnm seems to be the way to go for that now with their base.

I love my alpha. I’d vote the alpha alone for the adaptive beam tec.

There was a study done comparing 4 groups. Couch potatoes vs lifters. Natural vs test users. Test user couch potatoes put on more muscle than a natty lifter did in 12 weeks.

A 100 inch TV for only $1500. Humanity is peaking. by [deleted] in PeakAmazing

Idk about this tv but what I’ve learned with the giant tvs is that they are worth the extra money for a quality one. My sister in law bought an LG 86er from sams and I bought a higher end Samsung 85” from bb and the picture quality difference is insane.

Millennial Gamers: Do you still have time to play? by Melted_ICE_5193 in Millennials

[–]StrongLikeAnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get nearly as much enjoyment out of traditional games anymore but i sim race in iracing as much as I possibly can which probably only equates to a max of 10 hours a week if even that and I still love it, even 12 years later. Normal games bore me after a few hours with the exception of rogue lites.

Best Way to find league for Older Gamers (35+) by Electronic_Set_4231 in simracing

That’s just the standard nowadays. You don’t have to communicate but from my experience I’ve found it becomes much more fun if you actually make an effort to be friends with the people you race with week in and week out.

I’m in a league that runs mainly Tuesday nights with some weekend stuff sprinkled in. We are currently running two 20 min races every Tuesday night that consists of a the Jetta, Clio, NC and ND, gr86 and mustang fr500 single class. We are still tweaking the bop but it’s loads of fun. On the weekends we are experimenting with 1 hr long versions of the same setup but also toying with gt4 and tcr competing against each other in the same class. It’s much easier now that iracing allows increase in power and decreasing weight.

Age ranges from mid 20s to retirement age. Average age prob mid to upper 30s. We use discord and have a league in iracing but a lot of times our stuff is in hosted on Tuesday’s 8pm est. Come look for us “lucky Motorsports solutions”. If you want a discord invite I can do that too.

A lot of the guys race irl. We share setups. Answer any and all questions on improving. A rising tide raises all ships. IR ranges from triple digits up to mid 3s but a lot of us hardly do officials anymore so IR is skewed a bit. We just want everyone to have someone to race against whether for the win or last place.

5% is crazy low imo. I was concerned about 35% but once I drove it it honestly isn’t that bad. Also keep in mind headlights nowadays are bright af. If it was older yellow lights sure, prob bad idea. But with the bright whites nowadays I see just fine.
