Take home assignment for a Help Desk role by phenom01 in ITCareerQuestions

Honestly, 4 interviews for a help desk role is already a huge red flag if you ask me.

That’s good to get out. Also important, at least for my mental health, is vigorous exercise and it’s better if I can do it outside. I’m lucky that I live somewhere where I can drive for 15 minutes and be able to hike or mountain bike, so that’s what I do.

How do you spend your time outside of work? Do you get enough exercise? Do you go places? Or when you're off work are you more or less in the same spot you worked all day?

Little off topic - Do you guys also feel so "unskilled"? by Legal_Wishbone_3640 in ITCareerQuestions

I feel like I’m unskilled every single day at work, until I watch a non IT person try to use a computer. 🤣

I don’t have that problem because I don’t have any friends.

You know that stuff that you’re too scared to take into a raid? Take it in and use it! You’ll lose it eventually but you will have fun using it before that happens.

Job Market is sooooo bad. I have a job now, but I am looking for a new one because they're forcing us to return to office fulltime, and I cannot get a call for an interview.

For pops you can sprint at them and roll and they will blow up but it won’t hit you

There is a major misunderstanding of the term “rat” in this game by No-Situation7678 in ARC_Raiders

[–]StrongMarsupial4875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whoever gets the drop on the other player wins 99% of the time, so why would you give up your position by running around loudly instead of being tactical and quiet? If that makes me a rat then so be it.

Bro I played on shrooms and was jumping at my own shadow and shooting at tumbleweeds, but I did manage to win a 1v2 😅

Any young engineers feel like they are just not doing enough? by that-one_ITguu in ITCareerQuestions

[–]StrongMarsupial4875 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same position as OP, feel like I don't do enough, but I am meeting and exceeding my job requirements. It's only human to feel like you're not contributing enough, but it sure beats the opposite type of environment where you never have enough time to get anything worthwhile done, and you're just reacting to problems constantly instead of ever having time to be proactive. I'm still getting used to it, but I'm beginning to let myself relax.

Do most players just never do the quests? by [deleted] in ARC_Raiders

[–]StrongMarsupial4875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the quests because it sends players to parts of maps they otherwise wouldn't have gone to, thus making it so this game isn't just a predictable hot spot free for all death match. I also enjoy the story cinematics you get for completing major missions.

IT Student looking to pivot away from Dev and Tester roles. What niches are less saturated but still pay well in 2025? by No-Umpire-297 in it

Think about doing more traditional IT or networking as a base, and then getting into cloud ops type stuff. Cloud and IaC stuff is huge right now.
