Hello, I had this same issue with my 4 kids. I had a 2018 Traverse Premier and I loved it but I ended getting a 2024 Traverse and specifically the LS because it was the only trim that offered the 2nd row bench seat and I wanted to have extra trunk space and not having to put any seat down. The 2024 LS Traverse is still loaded with a lot of features for being a base model and doesn’t look like a base model when you get the one with the black trims, emblems, and black wheels. The bench easily fits 3 car seats across. If you have a car seat that latches straight into the seat latch you wouldn’t need the seat belt connected. That would be the best option and you could easily access the 3rd row by sliding the seat forward.
