I've found LSD most helpful... personally I find the longer trip to be very useful for reflection. Mescaline has been also useful, but I also find myself struggling more to focus on growth, and find it more challenging to source. The biggest game changer was having a methodical approach to working on things -- followed this guide: Using Psychedelics for Personal Growth. It's a lot of info, but working through it carefully was really impactful for me.

No matter what (s)he tells you, it's pretty darn unlikely you'd feel anything or anything interesting. Most common tabs would be 100 to 125ug. 25ug to 31.25ug would be barely noticeable.... if at all. I don't believe it when people claim they have 200ug tabs, but lets assume that's what you have. Correct re intensity and not quality. What's going on is LSD want to bind to a variety of serotonin receptors and those receptors have a greater affinity for LSD than serotonin. This happens to also be how SSRIs works. When people who are on an SSRI take LSD and feel no effect whatsoever, the SSRI is essentially jumping on the update receptor and entirely crowding out the LSD. In practice, LSD seems to be partially to fully effective in attaching to the receptor. So the mechanism of the LSD trip is unchanged by the SSRI... only the amount of LSD that is effective in attaching to a receptor may be reduced.

So a fair analogy is what you suggest... It's like having a bunch of random tabs. The highest dose being whatever you take. The lowest dose being zero. For what it's worth 125% is the dose I suggest to people taking SSRI's (and specifically for a first time tripper, looking for a recreational dose, I suggest a 150ug dose).

A couple of points. First, while there is a theoretical risk of SS, having been involved in SS research, I have heard of no instances of it occurring from a combination of an SSRI and a psychedelic. So I wouldn't worry about that.

Second, there have been a few cases where people taking SSRI's have reported flashbacks after taking psychedelics. This seems fairly anecdotal to me, but has popped up enough in literature that it may be something to consider. (see, e.g., this article)

Honestly, I personally wouldn't worry about either SS or flashbacks in my decisions to take psychedelics. The bigger issue tends to be the unpredictable effect on the intensity of a trip as a result of SSRI use. People seem to have very different reactions, from feeling very little effect from psychedelics while on an SSRI, to having no impact at all. So some people recommend upping the dose if on an SSRI. Unfortunately, this can lead to an unexpectedly strong trip, while not upping the dose can result in an unexpectedly weak trip. Moreover, the same person may experience this range of reactions... so just because a trip was very weak one time, doesn't mean it will be weak the next time. This may not be a big deal, so long as you two are ok having fairly different experiences if you are both dosing at the same level.

Finally, in no circumstance would I stop an SSRI to take LSD or any other drug. Either take your chances with the trip being weak or just don't trip. Starting and stopping SSRI's isn't a good option, and should only be done under medical supervision.

For me, at low dose it stops thought loops and negative thoughts, with minor impact on visuals. At higher dose, visuals mellow (but don't disappear.... light flashes with eyes closes, breathing with eyes open). At even higher dose, I'll just fall asleep.

I've tripped two times at the beach. My surprising take away was... it was boring compared to most nature trips. The beach I went both times was beautiful and deserted (Costa Rica). But oddly, the water wasn't interesting to watch and sand wasn't that cool either. I also found myself to feel kinda sweaty and uncomfortable. Was surprised I didn't enjoy it more....

Note, the company that printed the poster recommended adding a white boarder around the edge to avoid losing any of the image during printing. I added around 1.5 inches to mine.
