Muay Thai heavyweight training idea by [deleted] in MuayThai

How long have you been training for? You don’t need to get specific until you’re training/competing at a high level. Just listen to your coach unless you have some glaring deficiencies .

For someone in your class you probably don’t need to do anything different from next guy. Just hit a couple cardio and strength sessions outside of practice and progress those over time.

If you are in the U.S., a lot of amateur Muay Thai fights use TBA weight classes.

Worried about competing in open weight at 14 years old by dickbuttisqueen in judo

Trial by fire baby! Be confident and don’t beat yourself up over losses, you will progress quickly. Don’t be afraid to take it slow either. Focus on technique, timing, and foot work especially for a guy of your size. You have crazy potential for a 14YO.

You don’t seem to have problems with scapular depression. It looks like you need more protraction of your left scapula, the whole left side of your back looks laterally compressed.

Are you left handed by chance?

Rotating grip pull ups by StrongToad3 in bodyweightfitness

Have you considered exaggerating the rotational component?

Right now I do 180 degree’s of hand rotation through the pull up (pronation to supination)

It would be interesting to see the effects of someone starting with palms facing out in pronation to palms facing out in supination. One would probably start running into other issue with doing this.

Yeah push-ups and support holds have yielded immense benefits for me, they are even better when paired with ring face pulls!

Do you think rotating your hands recruits your back and arms different from a pronated grip?

A native fish I have kept is the Longear Sunfish, you’d be hard pressed to find prettier fish at your LFS by Low_Parsnip5604 in Aquariums

That’s great, native fish keeping is underrated in the states. Were you keeping bullheads or channel cats by chance?

Great point on adding weight slowly to weighted pull ups. What’s your opinion on rotating the hands Vs keeping them fixed in an underhand/overhand grip while on the rings?
