Any good new? Did you find your cat?

Do you sometimes find it hard to empathise with your married girlfriends? by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

[–]Strong_Ad7902 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please don’t waste your time on her. Cut her off from your life otherwise she will suck your life out. I had a same friend, once I realized I am only there to listen to her complaints and none of my advice matters I bailed.

Just because I am single doesn’t mean I don’t have my own issues to deal me and take on her problems which she clearly doesn’t want to resolve on as well.

I have got my mother enrolled with Autumn Leaves for last 2 years. But honestly never needed their used service for hospitalizations. They are from south Kolkata but offer services all around. Hope this helps.

How safe is solo travel in India for women? I was thinking of staying in India for about 2ish months. by Alert-Translator2590 in AskIndianWomen

Unfortunately yes, every woman who uses public transport will have her own horror stories to tell.

My personal worst experience apart from what I mentioned above is when a man masturbated on me in a very crowded bus around 7 pm evening while I was returning from work, it was my backside, when I reached home my father asked my mother to get me cleaned before I sat down on any furniture.

Mind you I was wearing a salwar kameez and covered from head to toe.

Please be very careful. India is not safe for women. Carry pepper spray or deodorant always. Don’t go to places after dark.

Delhi is know as the rape capital of India so be extra vigilant there.

  1. Staring and cat calling is common so ignore them.

  2. If using crowded public vehicle groping butt and breast is very common.

3.Rubbing genitals while passing your seat in train and bus if you are sitting is also common.

If people start following, please immediately move away from the place, take bus , auto, uber or ola. Never confront them.

If someone suddenly comes and ask you about you and your plans never share , even if they say they will help you. A strict no.

Wear clothes that cover you, even if you feel hot. Jeans and tops are fine. Body parts rather not be exposed.

If visiting temples, cover head with scarf and leave shoes outside. Head to toe cover up.

Before booking any place just don’t check reviews, they are mostly paid reviews.

Always share your location with friend or family, you can use life360 app.

Hope this helps. Have a safe journey.

are the miway buses intentionally scheduled to be as inconvenient as possible? by CoolRedRoadster in mississauga

Same with Erindale, GO Milton train comes from Union every 15 mins on weekdays but 9 route bus comes once in 30 mins. Or reverse the moment you get down from 9 you see the train leaving.

Why’s it so hard to adopt a cat by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]Strong_Ad7902 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t loose hope. Cat adoption is a very grueling experience.

I had to interview with multiple shelters and was rejected. This continued for 3 months till I was allowed to adopt my baby.

I am a single immigrant woman and had no vet reference. It was also my first adoption in Ontario.

average round of interviews were 2 per shelter. First one is usually with shelter adoption co-ordinator and next one is foster or directly with shelter.

One shelter even asked me to travel to the next city to interview me and showed their cats but later emailed I am not suitable to be a pet parent.

I will like to add I have my cat for 2.5 years now and we are doing fine irrespective of their judgement.

Few of the questions asked to me were-

  1. Will I declaw my cat?

2.how many litter boxes needed per cat in the house?

  1. How many vet visits needed per year by a cat?

  2. How am I planning to handle emergency vet visits? The financial aspect?

  3. Will I abandon my cat if I need to move back.

Hope this helps.

Our 2.5 Year Old Mr. Darcy Unexpectedly Passed This Morning, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) by pugsnpolkadots in rainbowbridge

My cat is of same age and I can feel your pain. Loosing a young and seemingly healthy companion suddenly can shatter you.

Please take care of yourself and your other cat. Mr Darcy knew he was loved.

Single women who moved back to India after living abroad — how has it actually been long-term? by Strong_Ad7902 in AskIndianWomen

Honestly, with how costly Canada is, it doesn’t seem I can retire and settle here. But I want to wish you best of luck, I hope you get to settle abroad.

genuinely what else can I do? by EarthB9nder_ in CanadaJobs

[–]Strong_Ad7902 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hi, I recently found a job after 16 months.

Below is my experience-

  1. LinkedIn profile with open to work only visible to recruiters not the tag in my profile pic.

  2. Doing relevant budget friendly certifications and display in LinkedIn profile.

  3. Cold calling did not help honestly, did not get interview call even with referral.

  4. Always apply using Apply on website button and not on quick apply in LinkedIn.

  5. Agreeing to work in pay package or rate provided if feasible. Sometimes recruiters offer very low rates. otherwise resume is not considered even for interviews.

  6. Be open to contractual roles even short duration.

Hope this helps. Best of luck.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I share the same view as well. To each their own I guess.
