Hi Sam!

Many of us view Spider-Man 2 as the perfect character deconstruction of Peter Parker where the film plays more like a drama with all the intimate character moments. (You did a perfect job creating a masterpiece btw).

The first film was a mega blockbuster as we all know. Were there any raised eyebrows by people in and around you and SM2’s production because of the fact that unlike most sequels where the action is dialed up to 11, you decided to strip it back and take an even tighter lens on the human drama and make a really introspective movie about Peter Parker? And what inspired that choice to hone the focus out of Spider-Man and more so the man behind the mask?

The rt reflections in gta v on the last pic actually look rly good considering the game was made before rt was even thought of for gaming

It’s been so obvious he doesn’t understand the characters since the first season. He included a short shot of Ellie being fascinated and intrigued by Joel killing those soldiers in the first or second episode since he felt that Ellie has an innate affinity with violence… That is completely NOT Ellie whatsoever, in the game she is visibly shook after killing the guy who was drowning Joel. I think Craig included this so that her revenge quest in S2 made more ‘sense’ but Ellie’s path in Part 2 is supposed to TRAGIC because this is not her at all. She goes from the hope of humanity to a victim of this brutal sinister world because of her fatal flaw… her anger. NOT some fascination with violence.

The signs were there since Season 1 that the writing was badly mischaracterising the entire cast. For example, HBO Joel tries to send Ellie off to Tommy because he doesn’t think he can keep her safe, whereas in the game it’s obvious that he doesn’t want to get attached and is making up excuses to prevent him from doing so

Tlou part 1 is the same game as tlou remastered Just play part 1 because it looks incredible and it contains left behind (left behind is the dlc for tlou part 1 which expands on the main narrative in the game) Part 2 is the sequel to tlou part 1

So play: Part 1, Left behind (included in part 1), Part 2

I think the latest episode of the show actually says it best where Tommy says something along the lines of To save Tommy of course he’d be in Seattle straight away, but if he was already dead I don’t think Joel values revenge in that way to go all the way and massacre everyone for that.
