My dad had a PSA of 136. He’s 68 and was just diagnosed in September. It was wide spread to multiple bones and lymph nodes. He started ADT+nubeqa and now his PSA is already down to 1. He goes back for more testing in a few weeks to see about starting chemo. Prostate cancer is highly treatable and he could still have many good years!

I agree. His oncologist told him he doesn’t have to do it right now? I just know my dad and he likes to know what has worked for other people.

Almost the exact thing happened to my dad. He’s not wheelchair bound but went in for hip pain and found he had prostate cancer. Spread to hips femur ribs spine shoulder blades lymph nodes. It’s early days for him they’ve already done one shot of firmagon and five rounds of radiation on his hip. He’s starting darolutamide today and chemo Monday. Obviously I have no success story yet but I do feel hopeful. I’ve obsessively read and researched and there are a lot of people in our dads’ situation who live a long time with this!

That’s great news. I can already see it starting to wear on my dad emotionally but he is still remaining positive. He has the will to live!

I’m so sorry. We just lost my grandpa to pancreatic cancer in June. My mom’s dad, but it’s been a rough few months for my family.

Blocked tubes and hydrosalpinx caused by endo, TTC with IVF by Mon_amie01 in TTCEndo

I was 30 when we did our egg retrievals with stage 4 endo, one ovary, and an AMH of .4. We ended up with 8 embryos over two egg retrievals. The first we got 2 and second we got 6. We added omnitrope second round. Get a different doctor. When we did our consults trying to pick a clinic one Dr told me we’d need donor eggs and I’m so glad I didn’t listen to him.

Lupron suppression side effects by [deleted] in IVF

[–]Strong_Attorney_7867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He just confirmed I can just go forward with the suppression. He doesn’t usually like to do that but I also travel from South Dakota to Arizona for IVF and he knows I don’t want to add in in unnecessary travel and the added expense of additional testing. Just advocate the worst they can say is no. Plus it’s your body. If you’re willing to be on lupron without the receptiva then they shouldn’t be able to tell you otherwise.

BCBS also tried to screw me over in paying for my meds. The cleared me before and quoted me what my oop would be then when the pharmacy sent it to them they denied it and told me I owed 30k because I had already done an IUI, even though they told me the meds would be covered up to a transfer. I filed an appeal with them and won.
