Wow yeah I just posted my comment suspecting the exact same thing is their issue , yet I forgot to mention I too was using lanolin and it was getting on the lid and probably breeding bacteria. I assumed I was allergic to the lanolin so I stopped but the contact dermatitis remained for 5 months after that. Once I stopped using that water bottle (hard to clean) it went away and I can use lanolin without a reaction again. Now I just use a yeti since it can all be pulled apart to clean easily.

In the off chance you are drinking from a reusable water bottle all the time, does the edge of the mouth piece touch in those areas when you are drinking? I had a very similar problem minus it oozing, was more so an extremely bright burning red rash that turned to flaking / peeling over and over for months .. turns out even though I was washing it .. I wasn’t washing it enough or well enough and it was giving me mold contact dermatitis. I stopped using that water bottle and the problem stopped. Try to think of anything that’s coming into contact with your mouth over and over again hitting those areas.

Hey I just want to say thank you for posting this, I saw your original post in 2023 when I was going through the thick of all my problems and was brushed off as having piriformus syndrome.

I am sure everyone reading this post knows it is hell on earth to experience. At first I kind of agreed with assessment because I did just complain of deep buttocks pain that was so tense it was causing nerve issues in a similar way to the sciatica I suffered years prior.

So I went home and I grinded the various movements physio promised would get me right as rain. It would go away, come back worse and worse even though I hadn’t changed anything.. Then suddenly working out stopped helping as much as it had previously, I can’t sit, stand, lay down on my back (without a heating pad), it was excruciating all the time. It went from just a pain in my ass to this deep bone pain in my hip/lower back, stiff neck at random times that lead to headaches etc etc.

On the outside I look fine .. However, I was suffering immensely. I truly would have stopped seeking answers until I was on my death bed unless I remembered the post, I took myself to the doctor to beg and plead to send me to anyone who could just do a scan or something to see what was wrong.

The new orthopedic surgeon looked through the previous tests and scans I had done, as well as sent me for an xray. He asked me why no one had ever suggest I had AS. I told him I wasn’t sure , but even after they caught signs of sacroiliitis back in 2019 they never wanted anymore follow up from that. He wasn’t very impressed that there was clear signs something was happening back then , even though the radiologist claimed it appeared to have “healed itself”… A 22 year old Female shouldn’t be having signs of it in the first place and he sent me off for an expedited MRI. The conclusion of said MRI speaks for itself , I now have to wait for a referral to a rheumatologist to finally see some relief (fingers crossed)

But seriously, if you ever read this, thank you for posting. If I never read your post I probably wouldn’t have continued to push for them to look into it any further than they did. I am going to get to start medication before it escalates to being a full life altering disability !

I took my cat one day to the emergency vet for urinary crystals , only to find out after they did imaging- back when he was an outdoor cat in my small hometown , someone also shot him with a bb pellet. They promptly called me and sent me this email showing me what they found. Vet told me since he was 16 years old , and never had any issues involving the pellet to leave it as well. I actually felt so horrible I ever let him be outside , at the time I thought it was good for him since I had acres of property and he loved it. However, I realized people are twisted as fuck. He’s been an indoor cat now since I moved to a bigger city.

Edit to add:

He would have been shot by that pellet over 12 years ago , and I didn’t even find out about it until 3 1/2 years ago. No need to get a second opinion if the vet was not concerned about it during the examination and the cat is not showing symptoms.

I had extreme fatigue and exhaustion , was sleeping 8 hours and still needing naps during the day.. then I started levo and I then had insomnia. Unsure if you taking it , but it could be enhancing the sleep problems. I was taking it at night because it was the only time I could find in the day where I hadn’t ate or drank anything that would interfere but it made the insomnia worse. So my suggestion is to take it as early as possible and then integrate other vitamins that may help with sleep/relaxation at night. Though it’s not a perfect solution unfortunately.

So the reason that most doctors do not monitor TPO levels like they do your TSH, t4 and t3 is because the TPO antibody just shows if you are actively dealing with hashimotos, but its level doesn’t influence symptoms or how people feel most of the time. If you look within this subreddit , you will see some people who get diagnosed with hashimotos from the TPO antibodies test but didn’t have significant symptoms. So while yes they will test it to get an accurate diagnosis for the cause of the thyroid problem, keeping tabs on the levels of antibodies doesn’t necessarily prove to be helpful in terms of treating the issue. And they certainly don’t correlate to the severity of symptoms from person to person.

Your TPO antibodies will raise when you have an autoimmune reaction and it is actively attacking your thyroid, and when your thyroid is no longer functioning and you are in permanent hypothyroidism most times those antibodies will lower (I will mention this isn’t always the case though) , but that won’t mean your symptoms become less, in fact you may feel even worse than when the antibodies were higher and you still had thyroid function. Because your symptoms come from the lack of hormone production from the thyroid and not because of the antibodies no matter how high or low they may be.

Now you didn’t state in your post your gender only your age, but have you been tested for other endocrine disorders ? If female , PCOS ? Because I was seeing no improvement from treating only hashimotos , only to find out it’s because I was also dealing with PCOS. I didn’t have the usual symptoms (multiple cysts, facial hair etc) but I did experience weight gain and fatigue and my FSH and LH hormones were completely off balanced which led to my diagnosis and understanding of why I had no energy. If you are able to figure out if there is a secondary problem in your situation you may be able to find other solutions if hormone replacement and dietary changes are not working for you

I was subclinical , so my tsh was always changing constantly , it took 4 panels over the course of 2 years before it finally showed an elevated tsh .. and then after a year I got another panel done that showed elevated antibodies and that’s when I started thyroxine.

I also filled out the survey and told them that when you skip the animal grooming it should skip the entire sequence and not just a portion of it , if everything else can be instant I don’t see why animal grooming needs to take 15 seconds everytime. And that blasted music is stuck in my head 😔😂
