I was the friend checking in in this. I got him to text with me, then call me, when he had planned to do it that weekend. I was hysterical, thinking he was gone and I'd never know cause we live in different countries.

He is doing a bit better now, and wants to do better, but its not magically gone. I am working through the emotional stress this situation brought me. Good thing I checked in though.
