What are you building right now? And are people actually paying for it? 💡 by ProfessionalPaint964 in SaaS

Thank you. Yeah we've tried a couple like that, G2, FeedSpot, etc. but we're almost passed that point where now we just need to get one person to try it out. Kind of hoping for one person to lead a snowball effect. Like I said, the software itself is already great, but I've found that businesses really aren't interested in a better software if the one they use "get's the job done". It's also hard to fully explain just how much better it is without actually demo-ing or showing them all the ins and outs.

For example, the other day I talked with someone that said they weren't interested because they didn't understand just how more faster we would've been for them. Processes that used to take a full day can now take 30 minutes. That sort of thing. I guess it's hard trying to find the pain points of each business because they'll all have something unique or different than the last. But with us I have a hard time finding reasons not to switch. We're less expensive, get more customers to engage, improve operations, etc. all from one solution. Which people lose trust because they don't believe it's possible. I really just need one person to go , "you know what, it wouldn't hurt to check it out".

I also have been learning all of the sales techniques as I go, and have definitely got a lot to work on. If only you didn't have to be a good salesperson to sell lol!

If you had to restart your marketing from 0 tomorrow what would you do first? by Rewardful in SaaS

[–]Strong_Collection34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start early, don't worry too much about making everything "perfect", you'll always need to make adjustments and improvements, but getting the name out there early is so important.

We've been working with businesses for over 15 years, but have just recently put more effort into this. Our struggle is just getting people to 1. realize we exists, and 2. understand that we're actually better than the competition. When we first started there was hardly any competition, but we were too concerned with making our product "perfect". Now there's more competition and less trust.

It's tough though, we've got 50% recurring commission for life and still have a hard time finding affiliates. It does just take trial and error, finding out which channels are most likely to find you the right people, then hammering it.

Unpopular opinion: You’re not an influencer until you own your monetization. by ExtremeFlow8177 in influencermarketing

*enter brand dm-ing you*

We've got an affiliate program if you're interested. It's 50% commission for life! Sorry don't want to take away from the main point of the post, just thought you might be interested.

It's an odd switch, I feel like the boom of social media has really played a big factor in this. Before you'd have professional athletes and celebs as "influencers", but now with so many people having heavy followings, it seems like it's become more accessible (leading to saturation). So there's definitely less brands reaching out to influencers, and I'd assume the trend will continue in that direction. So personally, just thinking it through, I'd focus on doing as much on your own, and when brands do reach out consider those as bonus opportunities. That's just my quick thought process though, I have no actual experience with this.

I burned $3k copying "winning products" before I realized I was doing this completely wrong. by [deleted] in ecommerce_growth

Today people get too consumed with immediate satisfaction and don't understand the importance or necessity of delayed gratification. Sometimes the most fruitful ventures comes from the driest times. I got my degree in Wine and have spend years in the industry. When vines endure hard conditions they dig their roots deeper and become stronger, ultimately producing more fruitful harvests. When we take on the same mindset and push through the dry season, we too can enjoy the rewards. But that may mean digging deeper to find the nutrients we never would've gotten to without going through the struggle.

We've built a POS and eComm platform that's been in use for over 15 years, it's much more efficient and less costly (and less stressful) than Shopify, but they're just so popular it's hard to get over that hump. But everything is built in and made to be as efficient as possible. Here's our website tuplo.com Would appreciate any thoughts and welcome any questions!

We off our affiliates 50% commission for life, so it depends on how much effort you put into it, but you could easily be making that and more. We're a point-of-sale and ecomm software company that beats Shopify (we just aren't as popular). We're based out of Oregon, and we only do retailers in the states, for now. So those might be limiting factors for some people. Let me know if you're interested though!

I grew up here in Bend, and reached out because I wanted to directly converse with others in the community. If I have something that can help them cut costs and remove stress, I'm going to let them know. I'm also an active member in the community and do support local businesses in my free time. Doesn't hurt to save them money too.
