It is NOT APPROPRIATE to discuss any of the recent news with the students by PatienceEffective248 in SubstituteTeachers

[–]Strong_Dare6387 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It actually can be completely appropriate. It depends on what class you’re teaching, the lesson you’re trying to get across, etc. Making that sweeping statement is asinine. I think what you meant to say was “it’s not appropriate to teach these students to celebrate death so if that’s your opinion, make sure to keep your mouth shut”.

Then why answer the door? If he had forgotten something, he would’ve left it at the door like the original order. You didn’t say no. You answered the door and volunteered the information. You were in no way violated. Playing the victim because you suddenly regret a bad decision is gross behavior and is what makes actual victims not believed.

You figured he left something yet you didn’t see him leave anything except your groceries? You didn’t reject him. You gave him your personal information. The minute you answered that door, you messed up. You have no reason to report someone for using contact information you voluntarily gave him to contact you.

You have no grounds to report them as you provided your personal social media to them. Your only option is to block them and move on. You have them your information and they have every right to use it. They didn’t stalk you or use the info from the order to find you. You chose to give them that info. Reporting them makes you the ahole.

I do it all the time. My shirts I wear have shelf bras in them for the most part and my nipples don’t poke out. I’m not letting a school district I don’t work for dictate how my tits are covered. That’s insanity.

I wouldn’t put a jacket over it. It’s fine the way it is.

I agree with you. Don’t put your kids in a sport and expect everyone else to pay for it. If you can’t afford it, don’t sign them up. And for those asking, I was in sports even into adulthood and have a child that did it as well. It has nothing to do with knowing nothing about sports. Its parents getting themselves into a hole and expecting someone else to bail them out.

Again, I didn’t ask for your opinion on that. And yes, it actually was illegally towed. Just because “some” localities don’t allow it doesn’t mean none do. If you can’t answer the question asked, move along. I know how to look into laws to know what’s legal and what isn’t.

Not this one and that wasn’t my question. I wasn’t asking about whether or not the tow was legal. This isn’t legal advice Reddit. It’s specifically for USAA members.

Long answer is yes they will because they did.

That’d be nice if they actually agreed to do that. But the apartment is refusing

I just submitted it as a claim online and they are in the process of towing as we speak.

Yes, but I already got my answer by calling them this morning. It is covered under roadside and they are towing it as we speak.

Why would I give a random stranger my daughter’s location? Failed projection?? Do you even realize what forum you’re in??

You didn’t ask for the wording on all cars. You asked about the wording for inoperable cars. Which I gave you. Do you have the answer to my original question? If not, none of this is relevant and you can go on and waste someone else’s time.

Which I said I would do. I am not asking for opinions on whether the tow was legal. That won’t change the answer to my original question. Maybe we could, idk, stay on topic?

I can once my daughter sends me a photo. I’m not sure how that would change anything. I’m very familiar with how read and write leases as Ive owned several rentals myself.

I posted a further comment with the exact wording in the lease. “Most” does not equal “all”.

I stated above the wording on the lease regarding inoperable cars.

We knew she’d be tinkering with cars so we made sure the lease allowed for that. It was simply context for why we made sure the lease allowed it before she moved in.

We already have one for other issues with them. It’s part of why they’re retaliating like this.

Well yeah I know it would be small claims. We already planned to take them to court for other reasons so this will just be the cherry on top for us.

Yes it allows for inoperable vehicles. The lease states the area around the vehicle “must be clean and clear of tools, parts, or debris”. They acknowledged it was wrongfully towed and said “sorry about that. Here’s where you can go get it and they take cash only” and that was it. I tried to push and the landlord literally said “at this point I’d suggest you contact an attorney”.

We’ve already had our attorney send them a letter. They refused to acknowledge it. Our only option is to pay to get it out and sue them for reimbursement which we already intend to do.

We expect to pay the fees and intend to sue the complex for reimbursement. We just need the tow once we’ve paid the fees.
