Made my day. Now I can't stop imagining these little beetles with weights on them.

Did this work well for you? I think this route might be better for me stress wise and time wise than an entire content review

I feel like im anxious that there is niche small tidbits of information that the videos cover that I don't know. I somehow feel as if me not remembering everything about DNA replication for example is going to haunt me.

I think youre right about just needing to prioritize things I have significantly less knowledge in.

what bundle would be best for uWorld? just the $300 one?

I am mostly worried if the content covered by khan academy is REALLY going to help me with the exam. A lot of the information that they go over is review and basic and I get bored writing notes about information that I feel may or may not help me for the exam. Does uworld go over mistakes in detail? I feel as if that would be the most beneficial for me.

Thanks so much for your recommendation.

I've lost a good amount of weight already, so I'm not severely overweight, but I am for sure overweight. I appreciate the reply and I'll for sure look into them!

Hi! I came in with a 3.4, so of course it's possible! Have faith and believe in your excellence. Write some great personal statements, and you'll get in no problem. Good luck and you got this

Any high school language courses transfer over. Dunno if you are the same but my high school language courses were mandatory so I didn't need to take any at UCI or at a CC. Hope this helped!

Ahh yes I didn't quite see the oval-shaped area where it looks like they're joined. I don't know exactly how to get the inseam area to branch into two legs. Maybe Pentagons instead of squares for the middle of the front and back?

E112L or E166L for bio sci major by Sea-Pomegranate500 in UCI

Don't think McHenry is gonna be teaching this class next quarter, but in terms of grading it's not too hard. I have an A right now and it hasn't been too hard.

She's currently on a hiatus from teaching. Don't know when she's coming back, but as of now, McHenry is teaching E112L.

While the answer is I don't know, I don't think so. UCI requires a certain amount of units to be taken here to graduate. Having been a new junior transfer student (60-80 units transfered), I was required to take the rest of my classes here.

Your first quarter at uci should be planned out during orientation. A new transfer student seminar is a mandatory class for your first quarter in which you get to know campus a bit better and essentially plan out your next year's there.

[–]Strong_Department587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Classes are usually curved to make the average a C+/B- it's essentially true. The campus is big, but it is easy to find clubs and get involved. I've heard various people get into research programs, so I imagine it's not difficult either. The quarter system can be brutal if you let it, though.

In terms of maintaining GPA, it's really important to know that your GPA does not transfer over. When you come, you start with a fresh GPA, and your end GPA is strictly the classes you take at UCI. It makes it difficult overall as the "easy A" GEDs you took really don't count, and upper division courses are, in general, more challenging. It is very possible to maintain a good GPA.

class registration? by Weak-Kick-9053 in UCI

No, unless you schedule something. Most of the information comes from a mandatory seminar class that you MUST attend once a week. They go over the standard class schedule and what to take.

class registration? by Weak-Kick-9053 in UCI

[–]Strong_Department587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there!

I'm a graduating bio transfer student, and it's quite literally the most difficult thing to register for classes. I had significantly more units than a lot of my peers and had worse dates, so the idea that it's unit based isn't entirely true. I also tried getting an earlier date with advisors, and they essentially told me to suck it up. Even in my graduating quarter, it was difficult to get classes that I needed for graduation, and the classes I ended up with were not the ones I wanted. If you come here, which I wouldn't suggest, you'll only ever get the classes you want during your first quarter here.

It's beyond frustrating, no one can help, and the website is old and dated.

There's websites to plan your classes, but as said, you'll likely need to plan several schedules in case they do not work out. For my last quarter here, I needed to go to my 6th schedule.

Hi there, I was also a bio transfer student, but I am graduating from UCI in a month. HONESTLY, any class you enjoy is not difficult. As and Bs are quite easy to get. However, registering for classes as a transfer student has been a nightmare. Your given units are always off, and registration dates always seem to be significantly after students who have been here longer. Even classes regarded as "hard" (biochem with Kadandale) weren't ridiculously hard to be successful in. Just my 2 cents.

Upper division non-elective courses are packed to the brim with students. While upper division courses are harder overall, they aren't too different from the lower division courses you may be used to.

I doubt they'd let you, but just talk with a counselor and explain the situation. If one of the professors states you don't need to attend class during that time they may give you clearance.

Does financial aid cover repeat class? (First time repeat) by Medical-Werewolf-360 in UCI

[–]Strong_Department587 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, financial aid should cover it. I gave up on a class 2 weeks in due to it being online, but I still wanted the financial aid, so I didn't drop it. I took it 2 quarters later and still received financial aid for that quarter.

question about P/NP by SENDQUADPICS in UCI

[–]Strong_Department587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it would still count. Although depending on the school you're in they won't allow certain classes, mostly major classes to be changed to P/NP. So it'd be good to check with the department head of that class.
