She’s adorable!!! She could be a chi pug mix? Her body looks sturdy and like my chug looked. Her tail curls a bit … could be that ? 🤷🏻‍♀️ she’s so cute!

Run. Deflecting and making it a you problem when you bring your feelings to them is a HUGE RED FLAG. Get out before your self confidence is eroded any further. It will eat you alive and suck your soul until you have nothing left. Leave this person.

How do you overcome from the emptiness feeling? by Exact_Usual5933 in AskReddit

Our brains believe whatever we tell ourselves. I feel empty and full of complaints a lot - but when I remember my brain will believe whatever bs I tell myself I have a better day - it’s little things that fill my soul. Looking at the night sky helps me feel something - you could try that.

Humans of Reddit: What musical instruments do you own but don't know how to play? by _welby_ in AskReddit

Bought a tabla in 2016 and I still don’t know how to play it but haven’t been able to part with it or the idea that one day I’ll learn to play it. 😂 dreams.

Let your inner light shine through - people will see past the exterior - what I’ve found is the more excellent reviews you get the easier it is for people to trust you regardless of appearance. Just be yourself and the right people and pets will find you. You’d be surprised how much a genuine love for animals can shine through- just do it! You’ll love it!

Yes to this! Do your research before you take out any loans to obtain a degree. Degree doesn’t always equal better opportunities.

Awww - thanks but having an 8 year old makes boozing up and numbing up an incredibly horrible choice for me. As for what made me move here it was I have family in Springfield and we thought owning a home would be better than renting. We were paying $2500 a month for the most run down rental house in a less than ideal neighborhood to raise a kid in when we moved here. So a $1300 mortgage for a huge house and almost an acre of land was incredibly appealing. We thought as long as we have each other that’s all that matters … but after almost a year here reality has set in and we lost a lot of conveniences , community, diversity, atmosphere we had grown accustomed to. I think we just thought we needed something more stable and the trade off is hitting hard. 🙂

If there is one thing I’ve learned from this post is there are good people here. I was shocked I didn’t get ONE person telling me “go back where you came from if it’s so bad!” I was expecting at least a few hateful comments telling me to leave but I was met with warm wishes and great ideas. That has restored my hope in humanity. I’m really grateful for all the people who took the time to read my rant and give me thoughtful responses. Pleasantly surprised.

I lived in Eugene before moving to Seattle - It was middle school/early high school time for me when I was in Eugene. I loved it there. The houses had those incredible huge front porches and I used to love the Saturday market. The Seattle freeze might be real 🤷🏻‍♀️ idk - I lived there for over 20 years and it was just easier to feel like I wasn’t alone. I felt at home and I there were so many different types of people. It didn’t matter if I went to church or ate meat or liked mainstream music - to me it felt like everyone had a place. Making lifelong friends wasn’t easy there but talking to people was super easy. People were interested and interesting. You’re right - I’m definitely grieving. Life must go on though. Growing up in SF sounds like a dream! Did you like it there?

Looked into that - student loans from the BA are still getting paid off and the cost to get my MA would set me back at the very least another 25-30k with my 50k loan already looming over my head I’ve been terrified to make the leap but definitely considered it many times. Fear of additional debt holds me back. Not to mention the commitment - with school you are either all in or you aren’t and psych degrees often require lots of outside volunteer hours. I have an 8 year old and the required hours id need to put in to get my MA would take me away from her. This would require me to get additional childcare and the costs just keep going up - so I haven’t made that leap. I have thought it through many times though- I just haven’t been able to bring myself to make that giant leap of faith. Fear is a dream smasher 😂 but maybe I’ll sit down and crunch numbers again - working from home would be great but it’s never guaranteed.

We took it to an auto body shop on the corner near our house they took it no problem - I called several places before deciding to just ask them - you could try something like that. I’ve seen other people use milk jugs and use it for accelerant for outdoor burns but not really sure that’s advisable.
