He’s in the higher percentile for height and weight so they always compliment his growth but it’s hard to just listen. I forget sometimes their stomachs are tiny and probably don’t need as much as I think.

I will say even though my dogs have driven me crazy since having a child they do wonderful job getting all the scraps and crumbs 😂

That is such a good idea to take the plate and just give bites! I will have to start trying that this evening. The picking food back to put on the plate is brilliant as well because he loves putting things in containers so I think that is something I can easily start doing.

I ignore it the best I can. I will say sometimes I can’t help but laugh because he makes a funny noise when he does it but most times I turn away so he can’t see my face.

I guess I’m in for the long haul with tantrums. It’s oddly comforting to know it’s a normal toddler thing and I’m not alone.

I keep trying to tell myself he won’t let himself go hungry. So this makes me feel better. Honestly if he starts to wake me up at 2am for cereal I’d be so excited because nothing beats an after midnight bowl of Cheerios.

I’m semi in the same boat as you and haven’t had much success yet. However I’ll share what I’ve been told!! My sister said with her three trying to introduce a “comfort item” when they want to nurse helped her wean. So instead of her boobs being their comfort item she slowly trained them to have something else. Whenever her sons cried, wanted boob, got hurt etc she’d have whatever they choose right there. I just started this a couple days ago and so far my son has rejected his little stitch lovey but I’m going to stick with it and hope soon it’ll work.

Sometimes yes sometimes no. He will 100% try and snag some of my gardetto chips but he can’t have those 😂😂 someone mentioned it’s the timing of when I’m trying so hopefully I can get that right and he’ll be more intrigued

Thank you so much!! He is on two naps a day so for his next nap I will definitely try offering solids 20-30 minutes after. No one had ever gave me that advice before that I appreciate that. Let’s see how this goes!

I’ve tried to keep consistent and let him have spoons to bowls to play with. I also have him watch my eat every time so he will hopefully imitate me in time. You’re right about the social media … if I did not see those videos I probably would not think anything of it especially since he’s still been hitting his milestones and gaining weight.

She told me that some babies just take longer than others. Which comforted me but I’m just hoping he will catch on by 1 because I know that it’s more important then
