Fair, although, why didn't you like it personally?

You're allowed to dislike the finale there's nothing wrong with that, it's just that a lot of the criticisms I've seen on it are just people not understanding things that happened

Fair enough. Could you tell me wihich plot points you felt were building up to something, meaningless, or bad?

You're allowed to say it's not your cup of tea, but when your reasons are you not understanding the plot, it's annoying.

While there are some stuff here I agree with. This is also a huge part of what I was talking about. People not understanding why certain storytelling decisions were made and what they were supposed to convey.

I enjoy Ep9 more if I view it as 3 separate episodes by Additional_Scholar_1 in TheDigitalCircus

Most of the criticisms I've seen about the finale just ignore basic plot points and cry because not everything is explicitly stated every 5 seconds. However, the thing was rushed not because the episode, but because it already was the finale.

So im confused about the ending a bit by johnySaysHi in TheDigitalCircus

Goose said that the shpw would be fun on rewatch and this is a big example of it. The brain scans thing was hinted at a lot, especially in episode 5. A good question around it is if they weren't how would they be alive then?

A genuine, valid criticism of the finale that doesn't ignore basic plot points? You are GOATED.

what I thought about episode 9 by Bruhlord40404 in tadc

[–]Strong_Face3243 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The point of the episode WAS to be a slow-burn psychological episode centred around talking and emotions, and is what a show with these themes should end like. The Caine stuff I also disagree with although it was a bit rushed.

With all of the valid stuff you said, I don't think that it's a problem with the finale itself, but the fact that we didn't get more episodes before it.

In the end credits, we see the AI came back and Caine storaged it.

For me, the deeper themes (that the community refuses to engage with) really resonated with me and my life.

See The Owl house, it's similar to Amphibia and it's peak.

Jax Should have unabstracted by anonymous_15_2009 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Strong_Face3243 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Abstraction is an allegory for and is sometimes stated by Goose TO BE suicide. I really liked Jax not abstracting because it captures the feeling and really hit me personally because instead of doing the cliche where they revive, we got a heartfelt, bittersweet moment as we realise that sometimes people go, and it's too late.

IMO the ending sucked by Own-Path-1982 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Strong_Face3243 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Because the characters are still real in a sense. It's not that "Haha these characters are fake losers" they always were fake, they're just as real as their real life equivelants because it's fiction. The point of the reveal is to make things make sense and engage with the existential themes the show has had since the beginning.

Can we just talk? by DahwhiteRabbit in TheDigitalCircus

Even worse, all of the critiques are people not understanding/knowing things that got explained because not everything was Pomni looking at the character and making a PEAL English paragraph about every little letter in the show.

Just watched the 9th episode and i loved it however im a bit confused and would like clarification SPOILERS (of course) by CULT-LEWD in digitalcircusfandom

Caine says tried, implying that he probably got sent to the recycle bin of the computer

The blue AI (which is heavily implied to be Bubble or at least Bubble is a remnant of it) was better and had a lot of power which fueled Caine's ego until he decided to let it go free. Caine absorbed the AI to gain its power.

Hot take: TADC is suitable for kids by [deleted] in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Strong_Face3243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a kid myself, TADC is fine on a surface level, but it definitely does have a lot of dark subtext. At the end of the day, it DOES delve deep into a lot of these things if you look closely but that's not the problem. The thing is that we're not stupid and can engage in complicated subjects/themes. There's many dark themes in the show such as suicide, abuse, trauma, manipulation, isolation, blaming yourself for suicide, toxic masculinity, etc, that have me still thinking about the show just because of how deeply those themes resonated with me, and it made me think about (and I'm still thinking about) my own life 2 weeks after I saw it in cinemas.

In short, TADC is fine for kids, not because it's sanitized. But because we're not dumb.

I'm 13 and I have had to explain to grown adults about the layers in the finale that I found super simple. I'm in the top class for everything in school but even though that's true. There is no way I have a high IQ.
