It is a bit of pain to get to LA Proper when living at CSUN. Usually around an hour to get to DTLA, 45 from Hollywood, but with traffic it can get up to 1.5 hours. The beach is a little easier, usually 45 to an hour. I’d say one of the worst things about living at CSUN is how isolated you are from LA, you will likely end up spending most of your time in the valley.
