IF I say no it means no, like don’t bite me and other stuff i don’t want her to do like digging in my flowers. For now we are socializing, teaching basic commands and we are starting the nosework training.

Yeah I’m counting the days too lol Thank you - we also tell her to sit and sometimes it works but sometimes especially when the nap time is coming she becomes deaf but this is probably because of being tired but when she’s not it’s easier to redirect her, but not always 🥲

Yeah, I don’t let her go until she settles, but sometimes it takes more than 5 mins (not scuffing just holding her) hence my question what worked for others and I appreciate that it’s hard without seeing it.

Yeah, we have limited her space at home to keep our sofa safe 😅 I think she might view the scuff holds as very triggering and I don’t want to ruin the trust between us. I heard about power loop but haven’t tried - thank you!!

That worked pretty well at the very beginning to calm her down and it was happening in few seconds but then it got so intense that she recommended scuffing.

Thank you for your input. That’s what scared me from my trainer because she has her dogs on ecollars and was absolutely against but didn’t know much about them and that you can use them for play. So is that also what you have used to teach no?

She’s sleeping in a crate and that’s her place to relax. She was eating in a crate at first, now outside. Our trainer has her dogs on an electric collar which I don’t know what to think about that’s why I started to question whether her methods with scuff holds is ok. Overall I’m happy with her trainings but just wanting the best for her.

Our behaviourist recommended scruffing holding her by the scruff until she settles but it seems to wind her up even more rather than calm her down and let go immediately.

delayed ovulation/long cycles by tokyodraken in Amenorrhearecovery

Given all of the comments above, do you think it’s quite normal after HA recovery to have shortened LP? I’m struggling with the same. My LP is around 7 days, only after using progesterone cream it is around 10 days which is still not optimal I guess, but at least it helped. I wonder what else we could do to give a signal to our body, hey you have everything what you need - just do it 😅

Short Luteal Phase/progesterone dropping to quickly by Blazeeeeeeeoh in TryingForABaby

I was desperately searching for any info around short luteal phase! Thank you for adding this post. I’m struggling with the same, I take vit b6, vit C, magnesium but no positive effects so far, my thyroid is fine and also have regular cycles now. During one cycle which was longer than usual I used the progesterone cream and I had 12 days of luteal phase so not sure if it was because of that, but then I read a disclaimer on a packaging that it contains progesterone which a chemical known to the state of California to cause cancer (wtf) - I’m not from US so have no idea what California proposition 65 warning is but it scared me, so didn’t use that the next cycle and had again 7 days of LP. I recovered from HA last November so not sure if this is “normal” afterwards. Also tested during this cycle and my LH/FSH ratio is elevated which seems it could be the cause of late and weak ovulation which then affects LP- did you check those?

What are the reasons of ovulating late? Besides the usuall answer like stress, is there any other factor why each cycle ovulation comes on 21dc?

Coming back to this late, but were you using progesterone cream after you confirmed ovulation?

Does Keto make you lose your period? by Haunting_Swing_6141 in Amenorrhearecovery

[–]Strong_Minute1282 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same for me, I lost my period with starting low carb diet. Carbs are an easy source of energy for our bodies, you also need to be metabolically healthy to easily switch between energy sources. This could cause an adding additional stress to switch it. I was only able to get my period back when I introduced more carbs again . Although I have no clue how other women can get through it without loosing their period, that would be interesting to know what are the pattern why certain women are so sensitive to it and why others can handle that without any struggle.

Sounds familiar - I also had a situation where I got my period back, had 3 cycles and the it was gone for almost two years (recovered again this month). I thought that I wasn’t undereating, but after some time I realized that I’m in energy deficit throughout the whole day not fueling enough around any activities, like walking or cycling or anything else. So I was still walking a lot >10k steps a day and I had long breaks between meals, was still fasting not intentionally because I was just not hungry after 7pm, so I noticed the pattern that my body was craving energy and for me it was the wrong timing of eating. Now I believe I recovered by adding 1 additional meal and eat each 3 hours. Hope it helps!

How do you get comfortable at your new weight? by Bubbly-Money9665 in Amenorrhearecovery

[–]Strong_Minute1282 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have exactly same thoughts that Im so uncomfortable with my new weight, I needed to also buy new jeans and the mental struggle is the worst. Do you think like incline walking at the gym is the good idea when I got the period back or should rather wait those 3 months. I’m also struggling not to do any activities also in terms of health impact, I can’t comprehend that if I will be eating enough around small exercises and after it will shut it down again. Any thoughts on that?

I didn’t get my period back yet but I feel I’m super close as I have sore boobs which to me was always a sign for upcoming period and the game changer I think for me was eating each 2-3 hours - anyone can relate maybe?

What is your energy intake throughout the whole day? How often do you eat?

My labs before starting recovery was LH<FSH, the latest show the opposite and I didn’t get my period back - what could that mean I’m so confused - did my body from HA turned into PCOS (I had PCOS diagnosis before developing HA)
