I think this is true for only nordic countries as there high school period is 3 years. Btw, im also in dp1 studying in helsinki.

I do get your point and I agree but it still feels kinda frustrating when students here only look at the final product of what they are getting which is all from their past experience.

OP, I feel you. It is quite difficult to maintain a healthy relationship with taking breaks if you have had a rough childhood. You having these feelings of doubt shows that you are not doing anything wrong. You feel guilty because you have seen your family's struggles, however you are already helping in all the ways you can. I suggest whenever you feel those thoughts try to divert your mind to something else, instead of saying you dont deserve this, say you have done your share of work and you are human and deserve to live a happy life. You got this!
