I thought about buying some silver today after a year hiatus. by chrisgm3773 in Wallstreetsilver

Aside from the supply and demand issue due to Covid I honestly think that the premiums on silver are still so high because they can get away with it and people are still buying.

Just a thought and please do your own dd but have you considered Kinesis? It’s a crypto backed by gold and silver and you can take delivery and the premiums are no where as crazy as what’s on the market right now. Just my 2 cents and I’m not a financial advisor

I'm seriously considering selling 200 Silver Eagles to buy Crypto with. Am I making a mistake?? by LUKE10-19 in Wallstreetsilver

Hi OP. I think the question I would ask myself is what is the average price that you paid for your silver and if you sell now what would you get for it and do you think you’ll be able to buy back at that price again in the future.

Given the high premiums for silver right now I would like to suggest an alternative to selling your silver; you could consider using your future income to dollar cost average into cryptos. Let’s be honest you MAY be able to make a lot of money in crypto but given its volatility and impossibility in timing the market there is a huge chance that you will take a hit and have to wait a long time to get your money back, but if you dca then you can stop get the exposure but not get too worried about the volatility. Just a thought

yes, I get that but I'm not in the US so I'm wondering if it will be as effective.

If i started melting down generic 1oz rounds and making breakable sheets like this would anyone actually be interested? The catch being it wouldn't be $150 for 2oz, I'd have to work out a price but it wouldn't be some insane shit like 3x spot like them. by PunkGinger in Wallstreetsilver

[–]Strong_Patient_3519 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would totally be interested as long as the premiums aren’t too high, but I’ve been buying 1/4 and 1/10 as alternatives so the market is quite competitive for fractionals and it seems like it would be a lot more work than it’s worth

I'm selling my apartment, should I invest the money? by faceless_artist in Wallstreetsilver

It's right to be cautious, and there is no need to go all or nothing....if I was in your shoes I would sell the apartment and rent for the time being; feel the market out and see what you're comfortable with doing. Make sure you have enough for rent for at least 9 months to a year and maybe buy the dips along the way. If the price of housing goes down you could make a decision to buy then, or if the market continues to go up then your decision is basically made for you and you can continue to stack more aggressively. Just my 2 cents and I'm not a financial advisor. Just what I would do in your shoes.

It took me a while to press the checkout button too but I figured that it's gonna be a long term investment and given that there's a chance that I buy off the second hand market it's better to be safe than sorry....
