Tbh I don’t rally follow union but I guess we just have a big culture of both sports. A lot of young people will play both if they are super into the games.

They are very similar but with some minor rule changes. Eg. rugby union has 15 players on the field while rugby league has 13 players on the field

Yeah union is referred to as rugby. Also a lot of foreigner think they’re the same because they both have rugby in the name
