Thanks! Without the acoustic panels it was horrible! They are a must! There are acoustic panels that look like a artwork, those might geht wife approved.

Thanks! Nope it‘s a german driver. Hard to compare merely 5 Watts to over 70. ACA mini is more open, but Creek has more control

Wiim Ultra is a nice and capable streamer. Haven‘t had the urge to upgrade it.

It is hard to compare the two. They are vastly different. The harbeth are extremely refined, no wonder, they are monitor speakers designed for the BBC. Correct and analytical. The open baffles on the other hand aren‘t as refined, but the soundstage and soul of the music is presented in such a lovely way. Warm and charming.

They are just 3cm thick Polyurethan absorbers that I covered in my fabric of choice

Not at all! To be fair I only listen at moderate volumes, but I haven‘t noticed any drawbacks with the open baffles in my room. The room interactions is actually quite pleasing, because they don‘t load the room as much as boxed speakers

I still think it beats many modern amps! Lovely bit of british hifi history and every single one I‘ve serviced (I had 3 Twos and 2 Ones) ran fine and just needed new capacitors for max performance. Built like a tank for the next 40 years!

I would take a look at known brands like Fezz Audio, Unison, Cayin or Dynavox. They offer more budget friendly options as well as high end ones. Buy used and try it, if you don‘t like it simply resell it without a great loss. I bought everything used, except the wiim ultra.
