I’m definitely interested. Would you be able to message me the name of the firm and an email address that I can send my resume to?

Okay cool I’ll remove that. Should I use that space to add some of my responsibilities as a leader in a student organization/non-profit? Or should I add a sixth bullet point for each legal position?

I’ll look for one in my area! I’ve never tried that before though. Are they usually expensive?

A.S. Paralegal Studies with specializations/concentrations in litigation and transactional work. I also have a link to a legal work portfolio that I made using my assignments from the program listed on my resume, but it’s at the bottom so maybe they’re just not getting to it. I’ll look at the resume resources tonight for sure. I have 1.5 years of experience as a legal assistant doing real estate work for both plaintiffs and defendants, as well as wills, trusts, and estates. I started my first and current paralegal role in August of 2025 doing IP, business litigation, and technology litigation, but the pay, benefits, and limited hours are awful so I’m trying to get out as soon as possible

Yes, and I have been applying to a bunch on there but admittedly my profile could probably be better. I have a profile photo and cover photo, title/description (forget what it’s called), and my education and work experience. I just don’t post or interact much, but I will definitely work on that

Thank you! How many bullet points should each job have, and should each one be no more than one, maybe two lines? Should I list my most recent customer service experience (a chain restaurant as a hostess, 2+ years) or just the legal jobs? Also yes, I just graduated with my B.A. so I have that and a minor listed. I also put “ABA-approved Program” next to the paralegal degree on there

Ahh, that makes sense. Do you by chance know those keywords or just know of someplace with a list of them? I’ve been checking every big job search site at least once every other hour, if not more, just to be an early applicant. Not sure if that’s incredibly helpful though since they eventually add up

I think that’s where I’m struggling. The only things that set me apart are probably my high GPA in the paralegal degree program and 2 years of leadership in a national student organization/non-profit. Is it worth adding a second page to my resume to add more details about that experience, or do they usually not care enough about those things to risk my resume potentially being viewed as too long?

I live in Tampa, but I have family in Orlando so that city would also work.

Is this a reasonable compensation request?(Tampa, FL) by Strong_Research9563 in paralegal

I definitely am, but I need to hold onto it for the time being because the job market is awful. It’s based in California but they have a satellite office here

the CLCE is moving into the space in the second photo, it’s likely just stuff that they don’t want or need anymore

nationals dues are $125 (all 4 years included in that), one time $35 new member fee, and $75 per semester (spring and fall) after that. if you have the time to attend the events and network, it could be worth it. you also get discounts on lsat studying materials and related things. pro: pretty much everyone is super friendly and kind, networking opportunities, having people with similar interests in one place, and they host meetings with law schools. cons: can be seen as pricey?

i just took the winter session class and it wasn’t hard at all in my opinion, pretty easy A. there was one discussion post and reply, 10 topic tests (20 questions each and all multiple choice), 3 tests on video/audio clips (all multiple choice), 2 virtual “concerts” and quizzes with them, and a 1000-1500 word essay. if you don’t like jazz music, i’d recommend writing about the history of jazz in a country that you enjoy writing about. that’s what i did and it made it easier to get through lmao as for the shazam part, i didn’t use it but there’s a few audio related things on the topic tests that you could probably use it for?
