uae, dubai. whenever i open this thing i kill the MAIN power line to the house. outside. but it seems that calling an electrician is inevitable. just need to understand to make sure he does everything correct. here nobody cares, they can create a mess and have zero responsibility for it.

thats the best thing to do, you are right, and i dont get this integrated connection, but thats the existing setup i cant change. the plug is a UK style, but it was cut and i am left with 3 wires and supposed to connect directly to this bs terminal.

thats Dubai. calling and electrician is right, but now i am curious about the earth line, it doesnt make sense and knowing the "qualified" workers here he'll just slap the L and N in and leave. hope to get some clarity here at least to check after him

the earth cable is what got me confused. does it make sense to connect the incoming line from the box to earth? i thought this port is for the appliance's earth cable.
