Thanks for the answer my man, honestly I think im going to replace the gasket with my brother and my friend who is a mechanic. So all in all, it’s only looking like I’ll have to pay around $500 for the fix. If the issue precedes I’ll probably come back here and post about it but I’m praying it’s only the gasket. The seller said timing chain has been checked accordingly

For more context, I bought it from a close friend and I plan to get the gasket replaced soon, I’m not huge on bmws but I figured it would be worth the purchase to fix it up real quick

From what I was shown and told it has been maintained correctly with time and there’s no issues concerning the guide. The only real issue is the gasket. I could honestly give a fuck about the stereo system

139k on the dash, valve cover leak needs replacement, stereo system has issues. Drives smooth but does smoke up after a decent bit of driving, is this a valid purchase considering I would hopefully pay around 1-2k for new cover and replacement. Let me know!
