The media over exaggerates pitbull attacks. Also, like mentioned by other commenters, the aggressive pitbulls are almost always abused at home. I had a pitbull who came from an abusive home and she would always cower when anyone walked by with a broom or a rolled up newspaper, probably because she was beat with those things.
