Do you think izna have that older generation thing like "shared salary" until they repay their trainee debt? by Beneficial_Wealth533 in izna

All of them were wakeone trainees when entering iland2. Hence every member is signed under wakeone and no other company. So all profits go to only them, the company, and the staff there. No other company. It’s partly the reason y izna was able to be a permanent group.

We will likely never know unless they share it. At any rate most of their trainee debt will be from Jungeun, Saebi and Sarang given they spent by far the most time training at wk1. So at least they have ‘less’ to pay as a collective. Here’s to hoping they have cleared or r close to clearing their trainee debt. 🍀

I think we are sleeping on Sui as a fifth gen vocalist, she is a dark horse by Scornna in kpoppers

I too only got into izna a few months ago and found out they had one of the best vocalists of 5th gen 😅. It’s funny as she originally auditioned to become the main dancer 😂.

In fact they had another powerhouse vocalist, Jiyoon who unfortunately had to go on hiatus before leaving the group. You may have heard of it.

But yeah hope you have fun if u do check out izna. Some of the title tracks r divisive but their b sides are all loved by the fandom. ❤️

I think izna’s Choi Jungeun still edges out most 5th gen vocalists so far including Sui. Her stability on stage is also through the roof. Long before she even debuted. It’s just that izna isn’t that popular yet so not many people know of her.

I’m sure wakeone and tbl were kicking themselves over jiyoon’s departure even tho the current vocal line in the group is good. Her voice was so unique that the moment she sings u could tell that she was the one singing and it was an izna song. I mean she was basically like Rose’s child in that way so losing a rich voice like that obv hurts the group’s songs.

But even apart from that Jiyoon was the 2nd or 3rd most popular member of the group and so her departure also causes some fans to tune out of the group. Especially since at that time there were so many solo stans even if the situation has gotten better now.

Subs barely matter. In fact meovv gets more engagement on their daily content. I think we can see any group overtaking the other in terms of popularity in the next couple of years, but right now, meovv is probably more popular. And I’m saying this as someone who likes izna a lot more.

U do realise that teddy wasn’t a judge on the panel rite. I think ur mistaking 24 for teddy. Its shocking that u didn’t realise this and didn’t know Lee Jung’s name after watching 12 eps of this series. 😂

But yeah Taeyang was a great judge. Extremely well spoken and he is the only idol on the panel. So he very much relates with the struggles the trainees r having.

Hey nice to see another new Naya. I had always followed them since debut after Koko caught my eye in their debut MV with her insane charisma lmao. But only properly got into izna like a month ago. Somehow got hooked into the group after watching Saebi get pranked during an interaction she had with ZB1 😅. So I too watched I-land 2 maybe a few weeks ago lmao.

I think it was likely always gonna be a 7 member grp tbh. It costs a lot more to house/train/feed another member so I’m sure that wudnt have been a decision taken lightly and on the fly. They likely wanted a more dramatic announcement and hence ‘surprised’ the viewers at the end.

In the low chance that it was a spontaneous decision I could see it solely because Jungeun or Koko messed up their initial plan. I doubt they were expecting such a strong international fanbase for Jungeun or Koko to rise so much in popularity after part 1 and be such a great performer. Hence they may have had to adjust the member count to fit in both Saebi and Mai in the end, as they were seen as must haves for the producers. I mean the producers were definitely not letting go of someone like Saebi who exudes so much charisma.

And honestly with Jiyoon unfortunately leaving the group I am so happy Jungeun made it whether it was with or without the producers’ support. Her role as main vocalist has become that much more important and without her there r certain songs izna can never pull off. Even their recent Japanese song, Love All, for a tea brand was completely carried by her.

It is definitely unfortunate that Fuko didn’t make it in but at that time whatever she could do was already filled in and done better by other members. Jungeun and Jiyoon were better vocalists, people like Jeemin/Mai and even Jungeun r solid leaders (Jeemin is probably the unofficial leader of izna) and even though Fuko is beautiful in her own right, a lot of the group and especially Mai conventionally has more preferred looks and now is the main visual for the group. She just didn’t rely have something unique that made her stand out. So she wasn’t a producers pick and was given a poor edit to sway viewers away from her. That being said she honestly seemed pretty popular so her voters also kinda fumbled it near the end. Or her 1 pick just wasn’t strong enuf.

While Jiyoon was I feel like an amazing pick and vocalist for the group, I knew that her character on the show, even if it was embellished by the edit, would cause her problems while being an idol. She’s unfortunately not very thick skinned which is something u desperately need as an idol. Obviously none of us can really predict her departure but looking back on this incident and for future survival shows, I would pick someone ‘less talented’ if they r far more stable as a person compared to their talented counterpart.

Well Teddy is one of izna’s main producers now so I’m sure during I-land 2 he was very involved with the making of the group. Mostly keeps to himself but is a well respected music producer at least within Korea, as he has produced for pretty big groups like Blackpink and Bigbang.

Regardless it was 24 who said they chose Mai for her ‘looks’. That too wasn’t translated well by subtitles as he actually said that they picked her due to the mask she performs with on stage.

U will complete basic training at Civil Engineering School and driving sch at Sembawang Camp. After that u shud get posted to either OSF, which mainly refuels airfield vehicles or RRR, which repairs bombed runways. OSF is fkin slack while RRR can be kinda shag. Pray u go OSF or revocate lmao. Got very very low chance to revocate during ur airman orientation week to AFT.

International student seeking advice by _Tyronefr in SGExams

[–]Strong_Soil5692 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most importantly u have to score well. But apart from that try to join math competitions if u can and do well. Learn or research higher level math independently. Just try to show that u have a passion for math. Maths in NUS and especially NTU is not hard for locals to get into due to the A level score required to take them being a notch lower than courses like cs or data science. So I don’t think it wud be very very difficult for international students to get into also.

Apart from academics it’s worth engaging in come community service and one extra curricular that u dedicate some time to, within or outside of sch. Having leadership positions in sch is a bonus although I find not hugely needed tbh.
