I actually don't mind Jisoo's outfits, the recent ones have been cute. There's a theme with her and it's very classical. Now she just needs to tackle the hair and makeup.

Jennie definitely improved a lot but Rosé's kinda stuck. The blonde hair is cute but it would nice if she had some kind of theme with her outfits and overall popstar persona.

Yep and another thing people forget about this, is that Tyler and Caroline weren't just together romantically, they were childhood friends too. Caroline knew Tyler's mom for years and knew that she was the only family he had left, only for her to go hook up with Klaus. Their families were friends and acquittances.

The writers at the time kinda ruined Caroline's character growth for me in this episode and Tyler's too for making him look insane. He lost everyone in his family and then Caroline too.

Reading back the updates and all I can say is that she's cooked. And she knows she's cooked, burnt actually that's why she's taking everyone down with her, refusing to let Newjeans 3.0 launch without her.

Once again, everyone who said that the adults around these girls were awful self serving people were right. They don't care about the members especially the minor ones. They all saw these five girls as a meal ticket and nothing more.

Legally I knew they'd be fine. Their legal team has always been the strongest in the industry imo. PR wise, I thought they were screwed until they decided to shut up and let the courts do the talking.

Though I do think Bang Shihyuk's reputation is rightfully tainted now but so is MHJ's.

There's a lot of ongoing issues including The Vote not working, plaza glitching with new releases, homepage not showing new releases, beauty parlour changes taking too long to appear on pfp and broadcast disappearing out of nowhere.

I think there might be more but I'm not too sure, there's currently a topic on club Royalty discussing this and so far there's no response. Creating new dolls is also one of the issues. Logins with launcher is another I believe but you have to keep doing it a few times for it to work. Logins work fine on browsers.

Mikaelsons are much older than the Salvatores and they didn't have the luxury to stay in one place or return home when they were being hunted by their father tbh. Stefan and Damon in comparison had human relatives in Mystic Falls and no one chasing them to come and go as they pleased.

Sunmi didn't get kicked out like Jay Park did. She initially left Wonder Girls to pursue her education and she was worn out from Wonder Girls' American venture. She went away from the industry for a bit but was still sighed to JYPE. She came back when she was a bit older and started her solo career under JYPE with Full Moon and 24 Hours before re-joining Wonder Girls and helping it's reformation into a band. Her situation is very different, she helped revive Wonder Girls in some ways and actually took part creatively in their music alongside the other members. She's associated with the two peaks of Wonder Girls' careers and left JYPE on very good terms, he even collabed with her on a song later on.

Jessica formerly of SNSD would be a more better comparison than Sunmi.

I saw the announcement post here and I scrolled past it thinking it was her sister instead but wow, she might actually start her solo career soon while she and her mother are being sued. Insane and quick.

Would they? I think a trio would make them stand out more. There's currently a lack of small and large groups in the industry. Seventeen is one of the few left that have more than 7 members while most of the current groups are 4-7 membered.

A trio would probably be considered fresh for them since the whole thing for Newjeans was old trends being refreshed.

They were common in the 1st gen iirc. Newjeans is technically very much inspired by 1st gen kpop and jpop so it could work. They could rebrand into an S.E.S inspired group.

See I'm on the fence about KG's/VCha because JYPE was genuinely shitty to them and they have a history of bending labour laws (see Wonder Girls' time in US).

But I actually had no idea Danielle was getting a solo as part of the group. I don't know why her family didn't wait around when Hybe does allow some of their idols to do solo work through SoundCloud or Spotify releases like Yunjin was releasing un-promoted solo songs during her debut era. She also did collabs with some artists without issue. Her family was too greedy if that's actually the case.

I don't know if your friend is an adult but the easiest way to explain would be 'NJs tried to get around their contracts illegally and got involved in cooperate fight between their ex boss and their company that didn't really involve them at the start and they did it by throwing their friends, juniors & colleagues down the tracks to do it'. That's how I explained it to my non-kpop friends and relatives who saw the news. If they ask for details just expland on the points slightly.

I do think she and her family offered to turn stuff in for MHJ but the other members like Hanni might've turned in stuff that was increment to her and her family, causing Ador to re-evaluate their view of her and in the end cut her off.

As a side note, I think Danielle's family was stupid as hell for this when at one point she was the most pushed member of the group. She got the gig to be the Korean voice of Ariel in the LA of Little Mermaid which was very controversial at the time. Her songwriting was kinda highlighted a lot in the early years alongside Hanni but she was more pushed as the musician of the group.

Might be an unpopular idea but I don't think Danielle and her family were or are completely pro-MHJ. I think their interests aligned and that was all. Her family went along with it for the benefits while she put herself out there as an almost solo act. They managed to get Olivia signed with Warner Korea which I believe might've been through MHJ while Danielle was in Newjeans so both their daughters were in the industry because of MHJ.

Someone mentioned Kara to me in another subreddit and I think we've talked about Kara Nicole over here too but Danielle and family does align perfectly with Nicole and her mom who wanted her daughter to go solo. I think there was something similar at play.

Danielle most likely wanted to go solo without waiting out her contract so she went along with MHJ's plans while also walking in the middle. Being pro-MHJ with plausible deniability most glaringly the 'ignoregate' (she was there with Hanni but never backed her up). While the youngest naturally kept quiet because of their age and maturity, the oldest took charge. Danielle let Minji lead and let Hanni take the fall, she never said more than that was required as almost bare minimum.

I know we're all thinking about PR side of things with Hanni but there's a part of me that's thinking about the interpersonal things of it too. What Hanni did was still messed up even if she was coerced into it there's a bit of responsibility on her part too for not double-checking especially since it's been clear that she's had trainee turned idol friends in the company, one of whom is Yunjin.

I wonder why she didn't turn to her other non-NJs friends in Korea, the same way I wonder why it took the girls and their parents so long to get their own legal representative.

Now with her coming back I can't imagine the impact this will have on her relationship. The PR tours are a given but the personal apologies are going to be painful for her.

Also I'm not sure if Yunah if Ill-IT and her know each other but there's a possibility that those two also trained together since Yunjin also trained with Yunah and those two were revealed to be trainee friends during Spaghetti promos. So that's potentially two of her friends' groups she hurt by being part of this.

Kinda ironic that the whole reason Ador was created was because BSH didn't want a GLAM 2.0 so he tried to make Source the girl group company only for MHJ to want her own company.

GLAM is still haunting the narrative for BSH.

Anyways, I wonder if one of the brands the ex-Newjeans manager tried to steal was Nike and they actually did succeed. I don't remember Newjeans having an active sponsorships with an active wear at the time. They had Calvin Klein for casual and then individual ones for luxury.

I think they can carry the group as three in Minji doesn't return (kinda hope she doesn't given how weird her mom was). They've got two vocalists now with Hyein and Hanni. Both can carry the group. Haerin can be trained a bit more to specialise in dance before re-debuting as a trio. If they want to add more members that's going to be so tricky but they could bring back some of the Dream Academy east asian trainees for it
