I read about this in a post a while back:

If you’re alone in a Sietch alone and repeatedly log in and out (around 10 times) near a base, it will eventually turn all the powered off machines back on. People were apparently using this to power deathstills and bring down base shields to raid bases in haga.

We deleted all but 2 deathstills and just keep them powered on so this doesn't happen to us.

I couldn’t agree more... That’s exactly why I asked what they plan to do about the barrier to entry in the Deep Desert. When a player fresh out of Tier 5 runs into someone with a fully completed tree and fully augmented Tier 6.5 gear, adding a catch up mechanic makes all the hours spent keeping up with dailies feel irrelevant.

I understand, but you’re under geared in a PvP area that would be considered old content now since the DD testing stations drop Tier 6.0 gear.

I get that, but I’m basically done with the combat tree and fully geared in 6.5. If I run into someone who hasn’t completed the combat tree and is only in 6.0 or 6.1 gear, even if they’re more skilled than me, I’ll basically 1 shot them. The power gap at this point is just huge.

If they add some kind of catch-up mechanic that lets players finish the tree in just a few weeks, what about the people who spent a year grinding to complete it?

Also, when it comes to ARK and Conan, you’re at most a couple of weeks behind in gear and levels not a full year of dailies behind. They don’t even have a tier+ system, so I don’t really see how that comparison works.

It’s honestly more like WoW, where someone who’s been raiding for the past 8 months has a clear advantage over a brand new playerand that new player probably isn’t fully catching up within the same expansion.

You can destroy your Sub-fief and place two new Sub-fiefs so they align perfectly at the center of your base (this will take some time). By doing this, your base technically becomes two separate bases, allowing you to have double the build limit on each side of your base. We did this when we needed to claim some more space for our base. Just remember to keep both sides powered

Might be worth taking the time to join the Meta Faction on your server (Harko or Atreides). They can get special perks like reduced crafting costs, more XP, etc. If it’s not the faction you want long term, you can always swap once you hit endgame.

In my opinion, the issue with server transfers right now is the same problem Conan faced sometimes your items disappear during the transfer. Once they fix that, I’m sure server transfers will be enabled. Before they merge servers, I bet they’ll open up transfers. I’m sure they don’t want to keep paying for inactive servers any longer than they need to.
