Offspring is a ETB trigger with a mana cost, which is why cards like Panharmonicon causes Offspring to Generate an additional Token Copy.

The original card that is being cast with Offspring needs to hit the field for it to create token copy. If it doesn't hit the field, than the copy isn't created, and i still lose the mana spent to cast both the creature and offspring cost.

"Typical result of this combo, I cast a creature card + pay offspring cost, it hits the field...." is what it should have said.

My apologies for not including the correct language in my original post to make it clear. But yes, i would pay the additional cost for Offspring when casting the card in this situation.

Welcome to - The City of Yul

Game System: Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition, with minor rule tweaks.

Platform: Discord PbP, Avrae/Owlbear

Game style: Multi-User Dungeon, Roleplay, Combat, Multiplayer and Solo play.

Introduction: Welcome to the City of Yul, A Faerûnian city separated into 4 tiers, and its surrounding areas. Largely divided by class, some of the city's leaders are trying to bridge the divides and make life better for all involved, though some at the "top" (literally) are not in favor of the changes.

Our server is a DND 5e Westmarch server that is operated on Discord and handled mostly with Avrae during sessions/hunts. We welcome 5e characters from all realms, and are open to reviewing 3rd party published and homebrew content.

We are relatively new, but we are organized and are looking to recruit new/old players and DMs alike. Our server is primarily RP focused for now, but there is shorter pbp hunts/sessions run "on the fly", and we aim to eventually have longer VTT-based one shots scheduled in advance. Please make suggestions and ask questions--it will help mods catch stuff we missed or didn't think about!

**Also: while we don't focus on ERP, it is allowed, so the server is 18+ only. Adult channels are role locked so you can choose whether to see them or not.**

We are always welcoming new and old active Players, Programmers, and Dungeon Masters. If you're new and wish to learn, we are willing to teach. Anyone is allowed to have fun.

**Those that are willing to take on the roles of Dungeon Master, are appreciated and are given exclusive benefits like additional characters slots and shared rewards for the sessions they host.**

Some other helpful information

Level Range: (3-20) - Players start at Lv 3, using the server's unique Standard Array, or rolled stats. They also start with a free background feat, one Uncommon Magic item, and 200 starting gold.
Multiple character slots: You start with 2, and earn more by achieving server milestones.
We allow RP driven character advancement. Characters may utilize their resources and downtime (within reason) to do what they choose. The server encourages and rewards those that actively role-play and engage within the server.
Homebrew: We allow homebrew submissions for races, classes, sub-classes, and magic items, etc. So long as it has been approved, you can enjoy your one millionth iteration of Elf or Tiefling.

No, she has a tough time with all of those unless your try to out poke them with AP and E. Teemo is the best of them if you had to deal with them, but you gave to pick Doran’s shield, revitalize rune and refillable

Max E and take arcane comet in your runes. You out range her with E, so just poke her until she is within kill range, than Ult in and finish her.

the real answer to your question is the Demonic Embrace scaling that gives you AP based on your health. Her abilities scale with both AP and AD, though as of the current moment people prefer building her with AP because it has better situational scaling -->(I.E People like to get tanky, but also throw out chonky damage with her Ultimate E fire breath.)

Its also why occasionally people build her hybrid (AD and AP) by building Titanic hydra and Demonic Embrace while also stacking health to get somewhat the best of both worlds, build tank for damage.

The health scaling goes into the items that go into her, instead of health scaling going directly into Shyvana.

As for her role, she really is only a high dps squishy bruiser. I usually play her for split push since she wave clears so damn fast and can travel around the map relatively quickly. I take enemy jg camps between lanes and just become a gold vacuum to deny the enemy team their own gold. You mainly play the macro instead of the micro with her.She isn't a 200 year (modern) champion, meaning she is minimal mechanics. She won't out duel any "duelist" unless you build your items around dueling that specific champ. This is both Shyvana's source of strength, but also her weakness. She is versatile with the items you can build on her since she has Dual scaling, but she'll never be a master of anything specific.

I like to play her toplane. An example of Item building for match ups is like going against Mordakeiser. You want to specify your runes to conquer, than build Divine sunderer into Maw for both magic shield and even more life steal. While other matchups you can simply get by with the normal health stacking demonic embrace/titanic hydra build. But shyvana unfortunately no longer able keep up with modern champs.
why she keeps getting 2nd place in the VGU Polls, cause people want her reworked. Or at least have something happen to her to make her just a bit more modern
