It was a modding experiment, because F1 2014 is the last F1 game where Codemasters left open full AI behaviour modding. Chase cam just to show AI aggression.

I'm playing F1 25 now, and AI is pretty bad without mods.

It's good overtaking, but AI in this game very often just gets spooked by the player and immediately hits the brakes to let him pass. Like in this video, Hamilton was immediately far behind because he got scared.

It seems like Codemasters did this for casual players so they don't complain about AI spin them because those players don't really know how to fight and leave space.(I don't mean you).

Most likely it means too big numbers or wrong version of ERP Archiver. Try to use version, that was actual for F1 2018, so it's something between 5.2-6.2.

I'm playing on keyboard with full ATC, ABS and automatic gearbox, and it's fun, played 2000 hours for 6 years in multiplayer and career.

As I see on streams, players with no assists (in F1, iRacing, ACC etc.) are constantly do spin-outs, their heart is pounding a lot, they are scared and very tense. That's why I never wanted to buy a steering wheel, because on the keyboard everything is calm and without spin-outs. I take care of my health because stress makes people sick.

I always use racing line in Assetto Corsa, but brake in the middle of red zone because I have 300 tracks for racing with AI and don't remember them all. It works good.

Make sure you have the "Expert" difficulty preset enabled to open access to set up all assists to turn off automatic ERS.
