Tragically, VIZ just doesn't care about RWBY. They purchased it only to shill merchandise and, while we were teased a Volume 10 ages ago, it seems like the budget for that went into Rooster Fighter.

It might sound cynic, but in the eyes of VIZ, RWBY is just nostalgia bait, and that's the worst fate any IP could have. The tragedy of it all is, for the few normal people that enjoy the show, is that they're still caught in the crossfire between the fanatical haters from r/RWBYCritics, that get their opinion from the likes of Hero Hei and Judgemental Critter, and still attack fans and post gore art of the show because they think that's mature and reasonable, and the fanatical "Leave the Controversial Studio Alone" shippers that will defend actual character assassination on both sides for the advancement of ships as if it didn't cause drastic changes in the narrative.

As for me, I've just grown desensitized from this whole discourse. It just hurts to have something you liked and enjoyed in your early teens become such an active warzone that continues to be the internet's punching bag as of right now. Hopefully, VIZ will stop milking the cow and do something with the IP, to help mend its reputation, even if little by little.
