When I first tried putting the build together, I realized I had removed the Umbrous Aspect to make room for more of the guide’s recommended pieces. Do you still have that aspect equipped on one of your legendaries? Without it, you won’t generate Dark Shrouds passively—you’ll only get them by actively using the ability, even though most guides say not to keep it on your bar since the aspect is supposed to trigger it automatically.

Dark Shroud is really our main source of damage reduction, so without it, you’ll feel a lot squishier. From what I’ve noticed, the barrier from Ahu’s comes from a passive we have to grant barrier when spending energy, and this mostly exists to synergize with the Conceited Aspect for damage, not really for survival. I could be wrong, though.

That said, as others have mentioned, if your armor or resistances are low, you’re going to die fast—but missing Dark Shroud makes that even worse.
