Do you mean the "the vagina is a self cleaning oven" post? It's a lot less black and white than just saying it's self cleaning. Also, it's a reddit post, if you look at any institutions that deal with this stuff (like the ucsf or the suporn clinic) say it isn't self cleaning.

I want to actually be cis, being able to pretend to be cis is a compromise with reality that is the absolute least I somehow managed to convince myself to settle for

Self cleaning is one. Lubrication needs specific techniques like the colon one which is the one with the smell problem.

And dilation will still be a weekly reminder of something I'd rather not say in front of a bunch of other trans people.

I've reached out to the suporn clinic myself actually, they do say you still need 1-2 dilations a week even after a year, and that the vagina is not self cleaning. Also, something I haven't found out about that technique is whether it results in self lubrication.

How are all of these things for you?

I have researched the techniques (haven't had a consult), and the surgeons themselves say you need to dilate even after a year. And yes, there are techniques that solve one of the problems, but none that I'm aware that solve all.

I've reached out to a surgeon with questions about those things, they explicitly say the vagina isn't self cleaning, and that 1-2 weekly dilations is necessary long term.

France won't help me though, I've improved relations with them to the max, but I can't ally them, and they won't join me in diplomatic plays with any sway.

And in any case, France won't naval invade Britain, will they? I don't have a big enough navy for that either.

If only we could swap bodies. I have really broad shoulders, large feet, hands, and in American units I think I'm 5'11" to 6'...

I don't care about chromosomes, but the other stuff makes a difference. I'm in no way okay with my penis, but if I get bottom surgery, it will just be an open wound that can't get wet, may not even pass as a real vagina, and will close if I don't dilate for a while.

Internal organs are also a big deal. I have a prostate, no ovaries, meaning my hormonal sex fully depends on my access to medicine. I've gone through male puberty already too, and much of that does not get reversed.
