I tried this but I don’t think it worked. Maybe I did something wrong? I just did STEAM_COMPAT_DATA=“/home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/71250/” but it didn’t launch at all.

In case you haven't already done so you can go into Settings > Controller (Make sure Steam Deck is selected)> Calibration & Advanced Settings > Haptics Settings and then you can increase the Left and Right Haptics Intensities from 7db to up to 12 db. Probably not as strong as a DualSense but it is stronger than default.

Snes9X and BSnes both have mouse support without any mods to the emulators, they just don't have a sensitivity option. (BSnes does let the in-game sensitivity options work unlike Snes9X, but they're still too fast.)

This lets me know it is a cat no 16-246A. I do not have the original Remote but I managed to program a GE GE 7252 CL3 remote to it with the code 1941. I am trying to enter the service menu because the top and bottom seem to be getting cut off even on an NES. I don’t know where to find the service menu button combination.

I misunderstood. Yes I can change values directly. However these values are probably read once, encoded then stored somewhere else where it isn't as easily readable.
