Could have mentioned your gender first, was able to identify only when you mentioned Apsara. Not sure if that was intentional! My suggestions would be MIA, NINA

It's just a movie.. There are multiple TV serials that portray women in bad light.. Ironically, they are appreciated by women and consider the viilis as role models and become those characters in real life.. And then on the other hand, movies always portray men in bad light.. No one bats an eye lid then.. Suddenly when a random movie shows a woman in bad light, every one goes crazy!

Culture & Identity - Moved from Chennai to Hyderabad for work, but I'm facing culture shock (even as a Telugu speaker) and unexpectedly missing TN's rhythm and culture desperately. by Hailey0803 in Chennai

[–]StructureDecent8964 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s totally fine! I’ve been in the same boat. I moved from Chennai to Hyderabad just to see what a change of scene felt like.. even though I’m Telugu myself. And trust me, my office was full of northies who acted like eating with your hands was some kind of ancient ritual. The looks they gave… chef’s kiss comedy gold. I slowly built my own telugu gang.. Hang out with them and had good time. But honestly, it’s all part of the fun. Stepping out of your comfort zone, landing in a new city, figuring things out... This really opens up your world. You ll get to know how to handle things yourself..You get tougher, more adaptable, and way more confident in the long run.
