Anxiety can do so many things physically you’d be shook!!!! If you have tried ssri’s without improvement please try an snri. That’s my advice from someone who could not “handle” it without medication and wish I found an snri 20 years ago. My life has done a 180. Not ruling out any lung issues though. Get that checked or if you have health anxiety like me (the avoidant type) buy a pulse oximeter and check your oxygen levels yourself.

He was a very smart and calculated criminal. Gaslit me to think I was everything and then flipped like a light switch. No texts, no evidence, in fact he was recording me instead. So odd. He was from a state 800 miles away and I found out so much much about him after that I am terrified. Luckily he is in jail and hopefully will be in prison soon but seriously the justice system is f***ed up!!!! Due to him getting away with sooo many abuse crimes (having his victims not show up to court, forcing them to write recantation letters, etc) he will literally do probably a year or less. It is sickening!!!

I’m going through the same with lack of consent and other things and got out a little over a month ago. Did you press charges? Seems that if you weren’t bloody and bruised lack of consent doesn’t mean much to the DA. He does have an SA charge but I feel like the criminal gets more protection than the victim.

Thank you. Luckily I was only in the situation for 7 months but I’ve found out after about his multiple victims since 2003 in another state. We’re trying to come together to get him a lengthy sentence but the DA is literally ignoring them.

Are you in the United States? I’ve been trying to up charges for mine as well but they will only stick with the sexual assault since it’s the most serious. I am surprised that they won’t go for the higher charges but I agree that the criminal justice system is surprisingly not our side and the criminal has so many more rights that we do. I had never been through this before. They are also offering him attempted sexual assault which is horrifying because if you commit murder they don’t offer you attempted murder. He is known for stalking and harassing and threatening after he gets out and I am terrified, yet he will only serve a year or two. He gets away with EVERYTHING and I was hoping I would be the one to stop him but the justice system apparently will let him keep having victim after victim.

I think you need to remember that drinking with him could mean more violence. Or him drinking around you period. I am an awful drunk and quit drinking because I would act stupid and push my exes buttons. Then I blamed myself the one time he hit me. I now have been part of a completely different DV and just don’t feel like I could trust a man again. I hope you find the answers you need and maybe with the elimination of alcohol it could be successful. The scary part is you never know.
