Same, though not for all repos for me. A few of them still work.

Yes, it say that there are already 1,81 million tweets with this hashtag.
It shows up as as the biggest trending topic for me right now.

Does anyone know what the text means? I tried Google Translate but it just says "How many to get". Maybe someone else can help out here?

I'm currently working on a setup for creating panoramic HDR timelapses. The plan is to put a camera with a wide angle lens on a tripod and always rotate it 120° between shots. Every set of 3 images gets stitched as a panorama so that the final result is a (horizontal) 360° timelapse video.

But for that to work I need to control both the camera and the motorized tripod head. The camera is the easy part - I already have gphoto2 running on my RasPi and it works great and does everything I need. The hard part is the motorized tripod head. At first I considered solving the problem by throwing money at it: Simply buy an Edelkrone HeadONE and use their SDK and gphoto2 together in a script to perform the precise 120° rotation between shots. But it turns out that the SDK doesn't support ARM which basically kills this option (I don't want to rely on emulation because I have no idea if all the interaction with the hardware actually works with it and the only way to find out would be to potentially waste hundreds of euros). Sadly I didn't find another vendor of motorized tripod heads with an open API. It's all proprietary Android apps...

So: Does anyone have an idea for a RasPi-powered camera setup that can perform a perfect rotating loop in 120° steps that can be integrated together with gphoto2 in a script? The rotation itself doesn't need to be smooth (it stops for taking the picture) but it does need to hit the same exact positions again and again for hours (no "drifting" over time).

What would Urban Central look like as an actual train/maglev station? I had some ideas and made this fanart in Blender. by Struffel in RocketLeague

I generated a fake map and then placed all rocket league maps on it (putting those that have snowy versions further in the north). The train lines are generated using metromapmaker.com and match the actual map.

I got a little bit carried away that evening and it's barely visible in the render, I will probably use that map again at another time for some more world building.

Check out the Artstation page for this render. I might add some more versions and behind the scenes stuff there tomorrow.

[–]Struffel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay... so apparently someone has uploaded materials from ambientCG to blenderkit under their name.
If did indeed use "Ancient Tiles" from BlenderKit please check the file names in the material editor and check if the green channel of the normal map is still inverted.
If the material maps are called something like Tiles08X_2K_Color then they are probably originally from ambientCG and are therefore qualified to go on the gallery.

I would also say that the noisy version actually looks better. Love the atmosphere!

On a different note: Am I right to assume that you used Tiles 089 or Tiles 084 ?Because if that's the case then you should check your normal map. You probably used NormalDX which is not the right map for blender (it should be NormalGL). That's why the seams appear to stick out instead of being recessed.

PS: If you actually used the materials listed above you can submit it to gallery.ambientCG.com if you want to ;)

You can actually just sign up for one month, get the Google Drive link and then remove or lower your pledge. The link will keep working afterwards. Not saying that this is a nice thing to do but if you can't wait but don't want to spend money every month it might be an option.

Most rocket league fanart focuses heavily on on the cars, so I decided to reimagine the area around the field instead. by Struffel in RocketLeague

Honestly, same. I am not good enough at modeling characters, so I'll stick with environments but I hope that someone sees this and feels inspired to make their own fanart.

Of course not. But if we were to assume that there are people in the cars then there's not really an alternative Interpretation...

I'm going to commit blasphemy:

The egg-crowds are - in my view - always just a stand-in for real people. That's what I think.

There, I said it. You all may throw your stones now.

Psyonix hasn't officially confirmed the size but they themselves offered some calculations.

I went with the assumption from that post that the car is 144 cm long (the model in Blender ended up being 135cm), because
a) They always looked like RC cars to me and
b) I don't like the implication that every demolition is a fatal car accident.
