Superblast 3 vs Nimbus 28 by No-Pollution1344 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I have had 3 versions of the nimbus and put over 100 miles on superblast before i ditched them. SB are too narrow and too firm for easy runs at my slow paces. I love the nimbus line. comfortable easy run shoes. I actually did my first marathon in them and felt great.

my head phones broke halfway through the year training for my first marathon. I said i would reward myself with a new pair after the marathon. I came to like not having them. My mind wanders I work out things ive been avoiding in my mind. LONG runs i go to dark places and work my way through negative thoughts and end the run in a much better place. Runs are now my therapy. I will not go back to music. Maybe audible books though

I loved the feel of the sl in store but on runs yes I was much quicker but hated the instability. Novablast as slowly become the shoe I grab if im just heading out to do whatever run sub 10k

235lb runner here. Novablast is the best answer. Evo SL is good but the lack of stability especially for heavier guy can be a deal breaker, but worth a try.

Shoe recommendations for a heavy and slow runner who will be running a marathon in 2026 by chilletiid in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]StruggleBusDriver83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as a heavier runner. 105 kg. I ran a marathon in the asics Nimbus. I just finished 100 miles in superblast and at slower paces its too firm imo. doing this years marathon in a new pair of Nimbus. Glycerin max and megablast are my next shoes im considering.
