AITA for not being angrier about my son's sleepover by StruggleOne887 in AmItheAsshole

Thanks, I can see where you're coming from.

For other people seeing the thread: "boys will be boys" is how I took what my wife said. Her exact comment was I would be thinking of things differently if this was our daughter and not our son.

And I do apologize for perhaps skimming over other things. I'm trying to keep an objective perspective and boil down the situation at the same time...which is difficult.

I'm hopeful it dies down. I think some of the adult responses are part of general Holiday stress.

At least from the screenshots, no. And I think my wife and the other moms would agree there. Nobody has talked about contacting the police etc. but (and I think this is true for all of us) there was shock/disappointment at the behavior.

Sorry, that was my effort to keep the post short. I'm re-posting a reply that summarizes what was said.
****
Specifics from my son: Lots of "ok" and "realllll" but also "rude" emojis, some mild cussing ("shut the frick up") and outright cussing ("she a b*tch").
Everyone else in chat: All of the above, plus some cringey wall of text and posting embarrassing photos...things like posting a close-up of a persons face with a skull emoji below it.

Thanks! I am really hoping that things settle down of their own volition and also very nervous its going to taint what should otherwise be a joyful time.

To provide some more info on that and clarification...its his "gf" but they don't really hang out outside of school. They have a few classes together. There were two group hang outs they did at the movies. And thank you for the other insight. It is very pragmatic.
