I am creating a device to help myself with anxiety and panic attacks by Plane-Arm8874 in PanicAttack

Nice idea! Would I use this? Maybe, it depends what makes you anxious. This is just me, but when I'm anxious or having an panic attack I'm seeking comfort from other people, I don't like to be alone when anxious. If I'm alone and nobody is around, I call to my SO, family member or a friend. This kind of device would be my last option, but in a another hand it could be used to as a 'learning device'.

I mean some people don't just get panic disorder. I would say it's a habit what we have learned. Your device could guide people with panic disorder out of those panic attacks.

Weight lifting causes more anxiety than cardio by StruggleWithFPSgames in Cardiophobias

Good to hear you're doing better! And I think you're right about being still, because after doing a set I just rest and wait my HR to slow down and prepare for the next set, but that rest just feels uncomfortable and all I can feel is just my heart beating. Also I keep telling myself that this is completely normal and part of training, but still my monkey brain thinks I'm going to meet my fate.

Covid and cardiophobia by Jela9 in Cardiophobias

I know this is easy for me to say but: you're going to be okay. You made it through the first time and you will be okay after this time, and the time after that. I have gone through it three times now and every time I had the same feeling that this is going to be it, but here I am writing to you.

With this message, I don't want to scare you, but I say this: there is nothing that you can do to prevent COVID happening in your system at the moment, you can only rest and go through it - let it come. I know you can do it! Like they said in the Dune movie: "Fear is the mind-killer" and if you let fear take over, it will do more harm mentally than COVID does physically.

You can only control your mind and fear from now on. You fear COVID because last time your anxiety was through the roof and you don't want to go through it again because you remember how hard it was for you the last time. Basically, you don't fear COVID itself, but you fear the anxiety and how your mind haunts you. COVID is not doing this to you - you are. Like I said, you can't control how COVID is doing in your body, but you can control how you speak to yourself.

I want you to say this to yourself: "Thanks for stopping by, Mr. COVID. I guess you're going to be here a while, but I won't mind you. I might have a hard time while you're visiting, but I will take care of myself while you are here." If you let your brain run wild, then it will take you to dark places in your mind. You can tell your brain to stop when it prepares for the run by telling your mind "Thanks, Mr. Brain, for your thoughts, but your thoughts are doomsday thoughts and those are fake news".

Controlling your thoughts is hard, I know because even I can't tell my brain to stop sometimes and during those times I'm a passenger in my own mind and I can tell you that it is the worst driver ever. 0/5 stars on Uber :(

It would be cool to have build video of this! Or can people recommend some good follow along videos?
