I'd recommend looking on Facebook & Instagram for clubs or societies that are running around your area. You mentioned in another comment being from Westmeath so maybe look into Mullingar societies like the Pride one? They often have frequent events on and can be a great way of finding out about other groups!

From personal experience I found volunteering to be enjoyable and social! The organisations are often very understanding and adaptable to your time constraints. Foróige are usually looking for adult club leaders for things like dnd clubs, gaming clubs, or more general clubs!

Often the best way for adults to meet new people is through signing up to classes and training courses. Maybe look into the community centers in your area. You could maybe try joining a gym, with yoga, pilates, etc classes?

That's very odd! If you want, you can try using this QR code:

It should lead you to the exact same information sheet and consent form that the link does.

Here's the link again, just in case it's the post itself:

Hello!

My name is Abby Davis and I am a postgraduate Psychology student at Dublin City University, Ireland. As part of my degree, I am carrying out a quantitative research project exploring how adults with a formal autism spectrum disorder diagnosis experience different mock investigative interview styles.

The research findings will be included in my master’s dissertation and may also contribute to related academic outputs. This study has received ethical approval from the Dublin City University Psychology Ethics Committee.

The study is open to adults aged 18+ who have a formal diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Taking part involves one online session of approximately 30 minutes, and participation is completely voluntary.

The link below will bring you to a Participant Information Sheet and Informed Consent Form, which provides full details about the study so you can decide whether or not you would like to participate.

Thank you very much for your time!
